It may take a step back but I don’t think it will be a significant one.

I've always said I was a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

What??? No mention of TE Grad Transfer Eli Wolf and his average of 3 receptions per year to bolster the group?

We're in the process of retraining his mind and work ethic in order to turn him into a winner. We're also teaching him to read as his previous school failed to do so.

It’s the only glaring weakness on our roster next year, but I’m optimistic some new guys will step up.

Remember - nobody outside of Georgia fans knew who Jeremiah Holloman was until last year. This is why you recruit the way Georgia does.

The offense will look rough to start the season, hopefully not the entire season. Defenses will crowd the box, press the receivers and generally be aggressive until Georgia can consistently beat that strategy, which will take a while IMO.

We be lackin' in da receivin' department. All these newbies are going to have to prove themselves and make the plays.

Right now, it's a concern...will have to wait and see how they develop.

That's generally the gameplan from every team last season against us.

The question is if our receivers can hang on to the ball when contested. Except for Godwin and Nauta, I don't think we were great in that department in 2018.

The talent is there. It depends on their motivation and drive to be the "GUY". Pickens and Blaylock will be freshmen to watch. Robinson could be the "go to guy" with his speed. Also, Cager is the grad transfer from Miami that seems to be the one in the weight room, doing the drills and taking a leadership role in the WR room. We could be pleasantly surprised at how good we will be at WR.

Cager

The great thing about Cager is the red zone.

I don't doubt that we will move the ball between the 20s. But when in the redzone, we need to be better. He (and Blaylock) are going to score some points for us.

Not as much as 2016, when even Nicholls State crowded the box. I expect Fromm to consistently face more pressure this season than he's ever seen. He thinks Tennessee was aggressive last year, Pruitt will dial up a blitz on every play in Knoxville.

We have a very good OL and an inexperienced receiving corps. Every DC worth his salt will use tight coverage and try to bring more defenders than the OL can block. Jake may be regretting those offseason hunting trips to places like Arkansas when he could have been working with his teammates back in Athens.

Agree to disagree.

The only difference in 2016 was the fullback where we voluntarily allowed an extra defender in the box (and because of our backs, they still weren't successful against us).

But the blitzes and attacking the LOS has always been the MO against us.

I'm actually excited about our WR's. On paper we have the perfect setup..... size, speed and athleticism.
Tommy Bush 6'5 195 RS Freshman - Former 4*, Tall speedster, 4.4 40, over a year with the team should know the system(blocking).
Trey Blount 6-2 200 Junior, Great blocker with only 3 receptions. Speedster with an official personal best 4.36 40. When he came to UGA the knock on him was his size and blocking ability. Well, that's no longer an issue as he is now over 200 lbs and was one of the best blocking wr's on the team last year.
Demetris Robertson- 2016 5* and #1 rated WR
Tyler Simmons- Senior, Great blocker 4.41 40
Kearis Jackson Similar to Simmons in ability just not as experienced.
George Pickens***************
Dominick Blaylock One time rated as a Composite 5*. Ratings dropped despite having a monster Senior year and an impressive All-Americal Bowl performance.
Lawrence Cager - 6'5 220 transfer from Miami

And if you haven't heard about TE Charlie Woerner who can slide out to the slot.............

Doubt it (though a couple could be those). We will spread it around. Same as RB

UGA has only had one 1000 yard receiver in school history so probably not.

There will probably be a core group of 4-5 that get the vast majority of the targets.

Fromm spreads it. It is the nature of our offense.

I expect more to our tight end than previous years (offense might look like the NFL with a lot of quick throws to big bodies).

No 1000 receiver. But I wouldn't be shocked if Cager brings in 8-10 TDs on the full year.
