Same. If FSU is not top four, then no way are they ahead of Georgia or Ohio State.

What a willfully ignorant response to my post.

I understand the feelings after a big loss. It will happen to any program. But yes, I would take Texas and Alabama vs Georgia. Georgia does not want anymore of Alabama. We’re the only team in the country that can match up with you. Injuries eventually caught up with the team. They were a factor. But the team in crimson did the butt kicking.

Agree completely. Georgia should be in over Washington. And, they might beat Bama in a re-match game.

I think this is not a good argument. However, Bama fans who don't like it have to admit their coach made it last year and was still making it in the summer of this year. It's true.

WAAAAAAAAAAH, It's like deja vu from last year, except there was a log jam behind Georgia this time. Hey at least FSU won all their games.

Ranking teams that would be the hardest matchup against Texas..

1. Texas
2. Alabama
3. Georgia

4. Washington
or
4. Michigan

I don’t think Texas should be the top seed necessarily, but I don’t know how you could rank the top 3 any differently.

So yes, Georgia got screwed from that perspective.. but like I said before, they had a play in game and lost.

If they had beaten Alabama in the SECCG, then lost in the semifinals.. they are still one of the best teams, but they wouldn’t be allowed to play in the CG..

The NC from a playoff doesn’t mean that they are the best team.. they are just the team that won when it mattered most.

Georgia lost when it mattered most..

I could. Like this:
1) UGA
2) Bama

Past performance is not indicative of future results

Can’t multiple teams get screwed? FSU and Georgia? It’s just the death throes of a goofy system that needed an expanded playoff with more teams.

UGA not in the tournament completely negates the “it’s the 4 best teams” argument.

If it truly ever was about the 4 best teams, UGA is 100% in.

Yet, they weren’t.

It never was about the 4 best teams.

Clown committee.

Yep.

I have no problem with it being about most deserving. Or the best. But pick one and stick with it.

The Committee (i.e. ESPN marketing department) completely gets this. The inconsistency is a feature, not a bug. It’s in their interest to be unpredictable and controversial. They never had any integrity, so it’s no skin off their backs.
