Play designed to be a pass to the right, where two players were lined up with a defender rushing up to cover. Fields waited to long to snap and then scrambled like he always did. He shoulda called time out.

What an anti-player player hater you are, no way does Fields get any blame
The play was doomed from the start and Kurby tipped his hand by putting the backup QB as the upback in Punt Formation after never using Fields in that role all season
The smart play is to angle punt it so it goes OoB with no chance of a Return, hopefully inside the 15 yd line and force Bama to go on a long drive with a QB that at that time was thought to be a lesser passer than Tua
It was stupid as hell for Kurby to not trust his Defense, especially for a Team that Recruits at the level that UGA does
Why tip your hand when Saban was in Punt Safe with his 1st Team Defense on the field, at that point Kurby should call it off, save the TO and pin them deep and play Defense, on a play like that there should be a signal to cancel the play and punt the ball
100% Kurby's fault, 0% player fault

When Kirby tries shite like that, you know that he knows he is going to lose the game and his team is outmatched. He did the same thing against lsu in br. He knew early on that LSU was just the better team and he needed to convert on a huge trick play like that to have a shot at winning.

Did you watch the Game, Kurby's Team led the entire Game and Bama came back to tie the Game late, at the time of the infamous fake punt, the Game was tied with 3mins to go

I know Georgia well enough to know that we weren't stopping Hurts. The only way to win the game was to keep the ball out of Hurts hands.
Too many people are hung up on it as a "fake". The reality was that the 5 star QB was supposed to throw the ball to our best player (swift). The QB snapped late. And he never took the chance on the pass (possible PI call).
We struggled with mobile QBs all year in 2018. We weren't getting the ball back until after they scored.

No one else that has any familiarity with modern CFB blames that crappy call on Fields, other than you and a couple of other delusional fanboyz that will defend anything that Kurby does, even when he makes idiotic calls like this

Any time a fake in the kicking game is called, if the Defense does something that you don't expect, there has to be some sort of "abort call" where you kick the ball away, you don't just run the play anyway and give up the ball at Midfield

Um. Ok. I know my team better than you know my team. The play was a 5 star throwing to our best player who was covered 1 on 1 with a linebacker. You have to let that ball rip and let your playmaker make a play. That is 100% on fields.

Well. You don't scramble in a pass play on 4th and 8. That is a recipe for disaster. Some smart people might blame the QB for that mistake in judgment.

Bama scored 55 yards in 5 plays.
The prior drive, Jalen Hurts came in and drove 71 yards converting 1st downs at will.
But you argue that UGAs best way to win was to give that man the ball?
We didn't have the linebacker play in 2018 to stop any mobile QB (UGA gave up 8 rushing TDs to QBs in 2018... but you obviously know the Dawgs better than I do)
