You add Cam to the mix and that's 4 in 10
years.

Meh. Georgia was obviously better, but for about 10 minutes, Tennessee gave Alabama all they could handle and more.
But as always, the process trumps passion.

Thats cool.
Now do how many quarterbacks transferred and didnt win the Heisman.

What? So it's only "cool" that 4 outta the
last 10 Heisman winners were transfer QB's?
Sure, transfers at ALL positions crap out but it's not like this isn't some recent development. More QB's are transferring than ever before and making more of an impact than they ever have before.Justin Fields could very well make it 4 in a row.
If you can't grasp the impact of transfer QB's as an LSU fan I don't know what you can grasp.

Who said I couldn't grasp it?
I just said plenty of guys transfer around, a very small percentage actually turn out great.

Then why does the post say 2019?
And why doesn’t your link say it’s the 2020 season.
It's pretty easy to tell that these are projections of 2020 when looking at the rank of the LSU offense. In that projection they expect it to be the 5th best offense in the country. In 2019 LSU had the #1 offense in the country. Either way, I think the projections suck. I expect the Bo Pelini LSU defense to be better than 23rd in the nation.

What kind of dumbass gotcha is this?
Gee,how many non transfer QB's have won the Heisman the last 3 years.
Makes about as much sense.
Please name another category of player that's had bigger more immediate impact in
CFB the last year than transfer QB's?The last 3 years?
3 outta the 4 playoff QB's were transfers.
3 outta the top 5 CFB QB's were transfers.
And this trend isn't going away.Talented QB's aren't waiting around and they're
also transferring to programs that surround em with plenty of talent.

I'm not sure what you're rambling on about, I never said transfer quarterbacks werent impactful.
I said that "hit rate" on them isnt as great as the other guy stated that it was.

This is what you said "not really"to
Transfer QBs seem to hit at a pretty high rate these days
Please name another period in CFB when they've hit at a higher rate?
Which decade did transfer QB's win 3 Heismans in a row?
Not "rambling" about anything.Just calling out a stupid comment when I see one.
Easy to do on your posts

They are hitting at a higher rate but many more of them are transferring than used to thus driving the percentage down.
You're making this way harder than it has to be.
I guess it all depends on what you see as a "high rate", I personally dont see one guy winning a Heisman out of 30 transfers as a "high rate".

What? Is there a chart for this?

What? Are they all supposed to win the Heisman? What kind of moronic logic is this?
Gee,how many non transfers were in playoffs? How many won Heismans the last 3 years.
3 outta 4 were in the playoffs and 3 outta the top 5 QBR in CFB were tansfers.
Once again, please name another era in CFB when 3 outta 4 top QB's were transfers?
Or another ers when transfer QB's won 3 Heismans in a row?
Anything???

Again, way more transfers = more quarterbacks with success. Doesnt mean the "hit rate" is any higher.
I'm sorry you cant understand this.
Who are some other quarterbacks that transferred in 2018 who were really good other than Burrow?
Who were some other quarterbacks that transferred in 2019 who were really good besides Hurts and Fields?
There's probably only 10 teams that are legitimate contenders, logic says that if 30 quarterbacks transfer, probably one or two of those will hit with a contender.
The way the portal is set up now, a new coach can bring in an experienced quarterback if he hasnt had a chance to recruit and develop his yet.

The last starting acc dual threat qb who transferred to a big time football school turned out good.

Yes we were! By the end of the bowl game against Mich.
Bama's youthful "D" was a force to be reckoned with!.
Add to that, the injured stars coming back to anchor a pretty salty defense and throw in a couple new faces then you have the makings for something really special!
The youth movement happened a year ahead of schedule and that's all the better for BAMA! SEC, put on notice!

Georgia is going to lose to Bama, Auburn, Florida next season. They're not even going to win their division, as Florida begins their rise back to being the team to beat in the east. It is happening, and smart will be squarely on the hot seat. He's not going to last but another 2 seasons maybe 3 at best.
