Elite DBs going to Texas A&M is gross. LSU or Bama I can understand. A&M? No pedigree whatsoever. I can’t name an A&M defensive player in the league besides Garrett, especially not a DB.
Holy ****! I literally laughed out loud.

Your ignorance is no one's problem but yours.

It's not a contest. The horns are curled up the corner, covered in piss, hugging themselves and trying to convince themselves it's still 2006.

I'd expect more research from a Texas fan. Von was taking selfies with the fans at the 2021 spring game. Had a TAMU letterman T shirt on.

There are real problems, and let me be the first person to tell you that the BEST CASE, short of some big boosters suddenly getting off their asses and independently cutting some checks, the best case for the NIL to be in serviceable shape is probably maybe Spring 2022. So that cavalry isn't coming any time soon.

He like the money and something about the Aggies, not sure why everyone is really caring this much.

Texas has produced 13 NFL DBs in the last 10 years. 6 of them being picked within 3 rounds. Many still on NFL rosters. More than 4 occupy starting roles. LSUs numbers are even more flashy.

You're either having trouble counting to 10, or counting to 6 -- because taken together that statement is complete bullshite.

To be fair, A&M has a lot more years experience in this arena, that is paying recruits..Nothing changes with NIL, they already had the network in place.

Few things are as comical as Texas, OU, or most SEC schools trying to act like players haven't gotten "paid" since the beginning. The only question is how good you were at getting away with it or if you had the power to try to go after other schools for it.

Surely you don't honestly think that Texas is this shining light where athletes want to go for the honor and privilege of wearing a uterus on their helmet and uniforms the color of baby poo and are above such things.

Okay then sore loser. If it’s that simple, why didn’t have their “network in place”? Did A&M have inside info on NIL or something? What’s your excuse?

I thought Texas was better at this behind the scenes game than anyone??

They apparently aren't....You A&M fans and everyone else are the one always accusing Texas of underachieving "with all the resources in the world." I've heard that for years and years..

So you tell me what it is? Either they suck at cheating, arent interested in cheating so not making the effort, or they haven't been using all those resources for cheating, right? That's the only logical answers because you know dang good and well they got the resources, everyone in Texas knows that..

But anyway, all that changes now with NIL. They just gotta catch up and get their crap together and get the boosters behind it now that it is legal...

I swear to God, most sips actually do think that. They honest to God think that the only reason that they are getting their arse kicked in recruiting is cuz everyone else is cheating and they just won't do that.

First of all, we aren’t getting our asses kicked in recruiting. We have have had some tough losses so far, but those guys haven’t signed yet and the class is far from over.

Texas could get the top 25 five stars to commit tomorrow, and if they suck on the field this year, most of them prob wouldn’t sign. The opposite is true as well. If Texas has a good to great year, they will likely end up with a good class.. with possibly some good flips. Perhaps even a great class.

Second, I’m sure Texas has been playing the game just like everyone else, but I don’t know if Texas plays it the same way as some other schools. I have no idea where Texas falls on that scale.. perhaps they pay just as much as anyone else.. perhaps they don’t. Either way, that isn’t why we have been losing some recruiting battles lately.

1) NFL development - Texas has not been putting guys in the league like they should have been given our recruiting success. Our coaches have been good recruiters.. but not great developers.

2) Just win. Winning takes care of a lot for any and all schools. Texas needs to win more games than they have been lately. 8-4.5 over the last 4 years is good.. but it isn’t great.

3) Conference Stability. The SEC and Ohio State have a lot more to sell right now. If and when Texas finally sets a date for the move, this will help.

4) Sark - Until Sark proves that he can be successful at someplace not named Bama, there will question marks raised.. and then you have his drinking problems from the past..

5) Negative recruiting - It is super easy to negative recruit Texas right now based on all the points above. Put some doubt into a teenagers brain.. and let them run with it.

BUT.. If Sark can show out at Texas and put a good product on the field.. and if PK can do the same on defense.. and they can turn those results into 9 or 10 wins.. and if they can develop some kids into mkre draft picks.. and if the SEC news comes out that we are playing in 2022.. you will be dealing with a much different Texas than you are today. Perhaps it doesn’t show up until 2023..

The coaching staff is really good at Texas, but they aren’t “elite” recruiters imo. They are elite play callers.. and elite developers.. which will turn them into elite recruiters IF you can win.. it’s quite different than it has been in some time.

That is all why we are having recruiting “problems” right now.. and yet we still have a pretty good class.

Yeah this is too long but i’m sending it anyways.

Translation:

Texas sucks. Isn't winning games. Other schools are being meanie heads and telling recruits that Texas doesn't win games. When good players do commit to Texas, they don't get to the NFL. But the program is really solid and the coaching staff is awesome.

Sounds about right for Texas.

Yeah, that isn’t what I said at all. You aren’t the brightest tool in the shed.. perhaps you should reread what I said.

I was saying the guilt falls on Texas, not anyone else. Hopefully this coaching staff is as good as I think they are.. and if so, we will win more games and put more players into the NFL, which will all help with recruiting.
