JFF > AJ

It's not close. However, you will not get a Bama fan to admit it. You're also by far the 2nd best team Bama has faced all season.

I very strongly disagree with this if for no other reason than AJ has shown that he can get it done in pressure situations. I feel that AJ is a better pure passer than JFF and has much more experience. If you wanted to say JFF career>AJ career, then you might have something but not yet.

Also, they are very different QBs and comparing them doesn't make the most sense. Comparing JFF to a Geno Smith-like QB and AJ to a Matt Barkley-like QB is a better assessment.

I know a lot of people don't like Danielson, but I think he's the best out there at breaking down a game for the average fan. He does his homework and pays attention to details.

I agree. I think he's one of the very best in college broadcasting.

I think he is excellent at breaking down games and is highly intelligent. I just get annoyed when the both of them get names wrong so often. Verne is much worse though.

of course you think he is. He is always complimenting you guys. Bama is an amazing team but outside of the national championship game Bama has never "handled" LSU during nick sabans era

Last year, he spent the second half of the season saying Bama didn't deserve another shot at LSU in the BCS Champ game.

That's what's so hilarious about the Danielson haters, every single one of them thinks he's against "their" team.

He can be fair "at times." But to say that we better hope we could keep up?. If you go position for position LSU is the one team that is completely even with Bama. And please lets not compare QB's bc lets not forget Mett was one of the top rated QB's coming out of the state of georgia. Bama's secondary as a UNIT very overrated; though Dee Millner is good

3rd in the nation in 3rd down efficiency bitches!

The way TAMU runs the Air-Raid, they're not usually facing 3rd & long down & distance situations. This makes them more manageable. A&M usually gets "chunk plays" in the air which is 10-15 yards at a time. So this has a tendency to keep you ahead of the chains and makes 3rd downs easy.

That success on early downs & on "chunk plays" is going to be tested on Saturday. If they get behind the chains too much, that 3rd down efficiency rating will take a bit of a hit.

JMO, but most of the offensive stats on this club are hyperventilation. Against UF, LSU & IMO against Bama, you're going to see that A&M has a regression to a mean that's lower than their typical stats in a sense.

A&M's biggest deficiency is on the Defensive Line. Sherman left hosses on the edges to protect Manziel. But TAMU's DL is able to be beaten on, beaten up & ultimately beaten down.

LSU, Bama & Florida (lately) are teams that have what it takes to truly compete for conference championships and-by extension-national titles. A&M's offense can compete with anyone. But their Defense gets leaky when they go up against a superior team in the opponent OL/TAMU DL matchup is concerned.

(ON KEVIN SUMLIN)He is in a fantastic spot at Texas A&M. When he gets his players there, they are going to become a real power in this conference. Texas A&M is a perfect match for the SEC.

I think the point is that LSU seems to be the only program that can play Alabama toe-to-toe in the Saban Era and come away with victory.

I will never understand those that are critical of Gary in any way.

Hearing Gary D predict coverages/breakdown plays is an absolute treat imo. You really see a stepoff when you listen to other analysts.

Consistently yes. Is anyone debating this?

So here we are yet again about to face an opponent who thinks their spread offense will light up the world, and are unimpressed with a simpleton quarterback who does nothing more than throw from the pocket, protect the football, and hand the ball to his 5* running back, who then runs in this unheard of direction called north. I must be having a serious case of deja-vu. What is the usual end result of these match-ups again?
