lets not ignore that you will have to fight Texas tech, A&M, TCU, and Baylor to get those oh so talented players.

A pen state fan would be talking about something sexual in a football thread makes so much sense

Sandusky says 4 years is just about perfect for a joke.

True. But Texas, as bad as it is, is still a recruiting heavyweight in the state and will remain so for the foreseeable future. And even if recruiting was divided five ways evenly, they'd get significant amount of talent, probably more than USCe could get with first pick of all in-state talent. USCe has Clemson to deal with in-state, and the SEC heavyweights around them are far bigger threats to take regional talent from USCe than the likes of TT, TCU, and Baylor are to Texas. None of those compare to the recruiting power of schools like UT, UGA, and the Alabama schools that converge on the same talent USCe recruits.

USCe has become a much more attractive job lately, but history and tradition have a way of clinging fast even as the world changes, and Texas is a prime example of that.

How is that "winning games at Texas" working out for Gator trained golden boy Charlie Strong right now?

And the only "jacking ourselves off to at night" that we're doing right now is us ... in your mother's mouth. Your mother has such a sweet mouth, and that's a "fact" ... about as factual as what you typed, punk assed bitch.

It also appears that we may be retaining Spurrier after all...just in an "ambassador" role. He's already spoken to SCAR admins about it and says he is interested.

Spurrier considers amassador position at SCAR

I'm really interested to see who we'll get and if anything will work out. Right now, who knows? I kinda doubt it, but anything can happen I guess.

Bert was asked OTR if he'd be obliged to take over for Saban at Bama. Word on the street is that Saban will become AD and Bert the new ball coach. Watch for it 2017 early. Sources who have eyes and ears to the capstone are confirming it. Never reveal your sources.

South Carolina will be announcing that Smart is the next head coach at South Carolina in a couple of weeks. Might be right after the SEC champ game.

Smart would be a great hire, but just stop Bucky.

but if Strong doesn't work out well at Texas they'll be calling Herman quickly.

In that case, SC would just swap Herman for Strong. I would be OK with that I think. Strong would be a better fit at SC than Texas.

A lot of SC fans are expecting this.

Herman would be a great hire obviously, but Smart seems like the safe bet.

The one thing that has always worried me with Herman is him jumping after 1 or 2 years.

Are you insinuating that USC is not a destination job? Inconceivable!

Lots of crazies coaching college football then. Cause there's not a single coach that would stay at USCe if Texas came calling.
