So I get that Bama is a well coached team, but how the frick is thug arse UT always in the top 5? Gators having to beat the other team and the zebras since 1964.

It is weird. But often you see really good teams with a lot of penalties. Maybe it's part of being aggressive?

the three teams that are the biggest threat to Al have the most penalties- 4 of the 5 with the most includes GA

Look back over the last 6 seasons. Florida averages about 100 penalties per year. No matter the coach. Spurrier led the league too when he was coach at UF. I guess he finally learned how to coach when he got to Carolina. Coaching changes and all, yet we are consistantly at the bottom.

1/4 of Bama's was in the Texas A&M game. They had 12 in that one.

LSU was in the bottom half when Saban was here. Near last in 2003 IIRC. He averages like 20 less penalties a year since arriving at Alabama. Thats going back to his Mich St years to round out any LSU bias. Amazing turn around.

UGA considers every year that we aren't among the 3 most penalized to be a successful season in that regard. Because we're awesome.

Yeah and last week the refs were all over the SC-CU game. I think we finished with like 12 or so.

Yeah so we average 4.8 penalties a game for 40.2 yards and Clemson fans think the refs gave us the game where we had 12 penalties for over 110 yards.
