That is correct. The dogs. A study in Austrailia had the hit rate at a measley 20%.
Problem likely isnt the dog, though. Its more likely the lying sack of shite on the other end of the leash.

Yea that isn’t true
ChatGPT says false hit rate is 20-50% on stops and as high as 60-80% in field tests.
Two other studies had it at 32 and 36% false hit rate.
That is unacceptable for reasonable supsicion. No clue how it is still allowed.
I dont like criminals, but I dont like a police state as much if not more.

This is a fact. You get what you pay for. I would waste less on tech and almost zero on consultants and stupid "programs" and just pay the most for teachers. Pick and choose the best and watch the results.

Buying isnt much better. I messaged several people selling a dirt bike asking to meet so I could see it and that I was extremely interested. Half didnt get back to me, a third got back days later. Only 2 or 3 people actually returned my message.

They did increase the no pay no play to $100,000 from $15,000. Unfortunately the no insurance having lying sack of shite that hit the front bumper of my sons car with his left front tire due to turning left too early got 30k from my feckless insurance company. A bic lighter was brighter than my Progressive attorneys.
Edit to add the accident occurred before the law passed, unfortunately for me.

re: Driver Fitting
Posted by geauxturbo on 4/20/26 at 6:59 pm to Jon A thon
Well, went to the House of Sport since I figure they have a boat load of drivers to choose from. Guy looked at my swing and said, no driver will fix that. Lol. As mentioned above, I have a hitch in my giddy up that needs to be fixed. He said he could see my swing problem right away.
Hit my Driver ~200 yards, mostly with a fade or slight slice. Under the ball and outside in swing, all arms. Club face open on impact. ~95 mph swing speed, ball speed ~131. Around a -8.8 club path. Spin was about 3800-4000. Smash ~1.38.
Hit a Calloway with a hook biased head or something like that, 240 yards first swing but still fade/slice. Subsequent hits were not as good.
Scheduled a lesson with the Pro. The guy said if I learned to turn my hips before I satrted my shoulders I will be WAY happier with the end product and could get a better driver fit. He said once I feel it, it'll be a eureka moment.
Didnt charge me (only took a few minutes) and scheduled the leason. He didnt want to waste my money selling me a driver with a swing that broken. I respect that.

What comes first, chicken or the egg? Lesson or clubs that fit (I'm 6'4 playing with standard length clubs).
Driver Fitting
Posted by geauxturbo on 4/18/26 at 10:18 pm
Getting back into the game and my old 2nd hand/cheap clubs are to be upgraded this year. Starting with the driver because that club pisses me me off (I can hit my 3 iron further). My irons are serviceable. If I dont fat them, I can make an ok shot. But that driver lets me down every hole I use it. I hear it - sounds great, feels like its crushed, group will say, great hit! 220 yards. Lol. Im like, WTF? 220? 300 feet skyward. Exaggerating Im sure but not positive I could hit my 9 iron that high.
Been hitting a hundred plus balls a day for the last 3 weeks getting in shape. Still spraying shots. BUT, getting better. Im tall, so no doubt my clubs do not fit me. But, should I worry about the randomness of my shots (slice, perfect, pull hard left twice, draw, slice, slice, perfect, mile high 3 out of 5, etc )?
Or, embrace it and let the club fitter sort it out? Any tips as far as things to ask or tell? Brand does not matter to me. I'd rather spend 800 on a driver and have confidence (hell, a round is 65 bucks anyway). But, do I say that? Will he just fit the most expensive club? I want the best for me, if its 300 or 800, dont care if its a Cobra, Ping, Calloway or Titleist.
I feel like Im going in to by my first car. Lol.

Woke or Imagination - US of A
Posted by geauxturbo on 4/10/26 at 9:16 am
I feel like back in "the day", when you put in your address or citizenship, the United States of America was always listed at the top of the drop down, then the remaining shithole countries followed in alphabetical order.
Nowadays, I have to scroll down the list. If I'm lucky, I can hit the U and skip down to find the greatest country in the history of the world.
Am I imagining this, or is this another woke mind virus equity nonsensical problem to overcome?

re: What is a good bug and tar remover for car?
Posted by geauxturbo on 3/25/26 at 5:35 pm to prplhze2000
Ive had great luck with clay bars for bugs. Pick one, they all seem identical.
Tar is a bit tougher, probably need a tar remover like losted above.
That said, after its off Ive found applying ceramic wax/sprays are amazing at making it easy to remove future bugs and tar.

re: Any mechanics or car experts here? O2 sensor heater circuit
Posted by geauxturbo on 3/20/26 at 10:37 pm to ISEN_AG
How is the wiring? Does it look like they spliced in wires that are not OE? A lot of univeral O2 sensors require a cut and splice. My Jeep had a wire that melted against the exhaust which causd a CEL and not actually the O2 sensor. Worth looking at closely. Bad connection and it wont matter what you replace it with.
If it ends up being the cat, I got a Walker replacement for my Jeep that was reasonable. Rockauto is your friend as they are affordable and seem to avoid fake parts unlike Ebay and Amazon.
