This is such a stale and awful take. You clearly never played any sport in college. A guy chose not to play for free in a global pandemic season, because he was guaranteed to become a multi-millionaire in a year. That isn't being a quitter, that's being smart. You should try it.

You seem insecure about something as since December you have created 11 topics.
6 of those are about LSU.

All that NFL talent every season and outside of the 2019 Thunder & Lightning-Planets & Starts Aligning season, there are no SEC West/SEC/National Championships in sight.

Tell us all why that is LSU Pump Lump Cheerleader MA's. (Mediocrity Acceptors)

It worked out for them, no doubt. Though only Waddle and arguably Smith were in Chase's position before the season. Harris and Jones needed to show they were first-round worthy. Now do some research of guys who played that last season, got hurt, and never got a chance to make real money in the NFL. I've seen close up how players feel about making that decision to play. It can be a life-altering bad choice for some to play or not to play.

He's not playing for free. He signed a scholarship to LSU to play football. By signing that scholarship he gets his tuition, room and board, books and meals paid by LSU. That is a pretty hefty bill LSU paid on Chase's part.

No college player that is on scholarship plays for free.

The cost for Chase, if he had to pay his own way (after a TOPS scholarship which most qualify for) would be about $20,000 a year. LSU football profit in 2019 was $56 million. This is obviously not unique to LSU. Do you really think the benefit of arguably $20,000 is worth the risk of losing millions of dollars for a guy like Chase?

How is that wrong? Do you want me to specify clearer?

No first round player played for LSU on that 5-5 squad. Last time I checked, Chase opted out before the season began? Am I missing something?

Well to be fair you’re claiming him as an LSU player as a first rounder then saying he wasn’t playing on a 5-5 team. Either he was a tiger and all that goes with it or he wasn’t.

They at least don’t opt out for an entire season because they’re too afraid of competition.

Chase, White, and Burrow did not play on that 5-5 team. In fact I don’t think any 1st rounder played for LSU in this past season.

Your point?

The point is that this year's LSU first-rounder never played a down for the team. He was drafted completely off his 2019 credentials.

Funny how you can get some dubious streaks going when you insist on taking just snapshots of the movie. The problem is that everyone over here happened to see the whole show.
