How long ago was this young lady his gf?

you clearly aren't or haven't followed the story if you believe this is a 'legit story'.

When the police want to talk to you, it's usually not good. That's because either a) you may have been involved in wrongdoing, b) you're too close to wrongdoing or c) you're caught up in a bad spot by chance.

no, cops and investigators interview people all the time that have absolutely no involvement in said crime. it's amazing how ignorant some people are to how investigations work.

If you disagree then it is clear you don't know what you're talking about. I'm pretty familiar with criminal investigations of all types.

C) encompasses people that are interviewed for informational purposes. I'd say that any time the police want to talk to you about a murder you're caught up in some bad luck. That doesn't mean you're likely to be connected or implicated, but I'd prefer to never be interviewed about a murder, as would any reasonable person. Even if it is pretty obvious you're just going to provide information as a witness or a friend or whatever, it's still uncomfortable at best.

so am I. Being questioned by the cops, in no way, implies any level of culpability. Again, I've interviewed people concerning crimes they had absolutely nothing to do with it, but they may have had information that helped with the case. In fact, it was pretty common.

I'm not implying that an interview insinuates guilt or an accusation of guilt. But I'm sure you've started interviews expecting one thing and learning something surprising. And I'm guessing you push witnesses and those that you don't think are directly culpable for criminal acts in order to see what they might be holding back.

My point is that if, for argument's sake, there are three categories for being questioned by police, 2 are pretty bad and the third is pretty unpleasant. You can break it down differently or further, but it's pretty much never a good thing, and hence the public reacts with assumptions when they hear that police want to talk to _______. I understand Collins may be only a helpful witness and that may be all the police want with him. But he's still close to a bad situation, which is why I put him in that last category.

Two things; When I saw the news on tv that she had been shot I told Mrs. Pimp "sounds like some baby Daddy doesn't want to pay child support" and second-I was a CU ticket holder for Rae Carruth's entire career at CU. If you had told me that quiet unassuming Rae was capable of what he did, I would never have believed it in a million years. He was shy and polite on a bad day.

I've investigated murders, so yeah, I can joke about them. That's how we keep our sanity.

Probably not the time or place. A baby has been pulled from the womb of its dead mother, 1 month premature.

I don't have a problem with Schefter reporting it, but tweeting it and leaving out the whole "he's not a suspect at this time" sentence is bush league regardless

But this is today's media. Get the scoop and regurgitated out just so you can be the equivelent of a YouTube commenter that screams FIRST!1

But nah, never mind, ESPN hates LSU right? That's it...this is a huge conspiracy to hurt the LSU brand

And don't forget the vast SEC ref conspiracy that the FBI has not yet investigated.

It's interesting that LSU folks seem to be pissed that the BRPD are actually doing their job, as is Schefter. This IS a news story after all. A woman was killed and you guys are pissed that Collins is on the periphery of that story?

It's good to see that the BRPD is investigating this thoroughly, unlike the Tallahassee PD apparently did with the Winston case.

I'm sure that you guys were equally upset with the media when Jonathan Taylor allegedly beat his GF up, right?
