So this is how Midnight Yell Practice typically looks at Kyle Field the night/morning before home games.
Enter 2020.
This is how it currently looks (below).
No students—apart from the Yell Leaders, the Parsons Mounted Cavalry, and the band.
It’s a bad deal, folks.
I know you’ll all join me in pulling for the Ags to BTHO Vanderbilt, despite this distressing development.

Ha hopefully. Surprisingly that wasn’t a shot at yalls traditions. Damn shame y’all couldn’t do yalls regular thing. Glad it carried on in a smaller way.

I think that every time I see a picture of or hear about this Midnight pep rally.
Shouldn’t everyone be having fun somewhere? It’s not often you see people stay up til midnight to avoid having a good time.

I honestly think the way A&M does it is a detriment. Instead of organic noise and responses to plays everyone in the student section has to wait for instructions on the next yell.
And when they do do the yell that’s seen in that pic it’s one long drone of a sound.
Football fan reactions need to be more spontaneous and organic than what A&M’s yell system allows.

Most pregame, goto yell, the goto the bars. House party yell, new house party. Bars, yell, late night snack. Really it’s just another step in the process of your night if you go.

It’s still early. Bars don’t close for a while still. Pace yourself so aren’t Kenny Hill passed out in a planter.
