Ole Miss/LSU could be dealing with some rain. Could be very late start/ early morning finish

Only 1 SEC picked this week.

We need an unlikely sweep

It’s amazing only the top 2 teams have secured a berth in Hoover at this point in the season

QUERY
When OU and t.u. join the SEC and bring the count to 16 teams, will the tourney include all 16, rather than the current reduced field of 12?

That's a good question. I think it would probably benefit the conference more if the quality of teams stayed high, for seeding and to also help teams get in the tournament. Losing to a low RPI team or even beating a low RPI team is not helpful. For that reason I can see it staying at 12.
But what do I know?

This would be fun, no doubt, but half the league would only play 1 game. That doesn't seem ideal when preparing for a regional. Guys need work.
While pool play is not nearly as fun, that is what I would do.
Pool 1
1
16
8
9
Pool 2
2
15
7
10
Pool 3
3
14
6
11
Pool 4
4
13
5
12
Everyone gets 3 games. The teams with the best record in pool play advance. When teams tie, either decide by run differential in the pool or higher seed.
The last 4 teams play a single-elimination tourney.
8 games on Tuesday
8 games on Wednesday
8 games on Thursday
Rest Friday
2 Games on Sat
1 Game on Sunday
12 teams play 3 games
2 teams play 4 games
2 teams play 5 games
Everyone gets work and a chance to improve their resume.
Most teams get extra rest.
The onyl issue is that we'd need more than 1 field to handle such a huge tourney.

Will aTm forfeit the sec tourney due to it possibly hurting their rpi?

Nah. Easy wins if we play y’all again.

Astros were kind and dropped 5 on the Nats in the first so I can focus on the Ags.

Rays on one screen, disaster gamecocks on the other

Ags staying hot. 3-0 in the first and still batting.

Nobletiger failed
A fielders choice and then a 3 run homerun puts South Carolina up 6-1 in the 2nd

Ags strand the bases loaded. Kaler struck out on 3 called strikes. Though I’m not sure any we’re actually in the zone.
