Well said, if we go the ACC, then claim the 1911, 1984, and 1985 championships we will get to celebrate championship football one last time before a 1000 years for darkness...

with the way things are trending the tv networks will eventually make it to where conferences will likely disband with the advent of the super league

So y'all gonna pay a 50 million dollar exit fee just to make less money in the ACC? Clickbait.

No, declare bankruptcy, sell off the stadiums piece, by piece, join a division 3 conference. Admins back to full control of the school and now go completely woke.

So, you are content with just making it to the playoffs and losing?
Just like every other SEC team since 2023?

State should consider leaving and joining the Sunbelt .

MSU and USC would be dumb to do this. The split revenue model in the sec plus tv is what keeps their athletic department above water (at least for MSU).
The Miami model sounds enticing but you actually have to make the playoffs and be able to recruit to get there in order to reap the benefits of the cash gained playing in playoff games.

Conference pride is stupid. Just watch football

I don't believe this, but if it were at all true, there would be behind the scenes negotiations that would give those schools the same, or more money than they currently make now.
South Carolina and Florida have proven they cannot win in the current format, doesn't mean they won't in the future, but a move to the ACC increases both of their winning percentages out the gate.

I can see the logic for State and South Carolina.
State- share a space in the strongest conference with another school. Small, downtrodden state that is getting poorer, and the other state school is perceived as more competitive/better nationally. By going ACC, you have greater chance to be successful, have a unique brand to sell to recruits, and still play in a great baseball conference.
South Carolina- geographically it works, ACC would own the state, better suited to be successful, and Clemson rivalry would go to another level.
Florida- I don’t get the advantage. You have won titles in multiple sports in the SEC. When you are right, you are great.
