A lot more. We were the #1 team and got left out, because winning the ACC was much harder than the easy path UK had in the SEC back then. I’m happy we left the ACC, I much prefer you guys, but had we stayed our basketball program would have a much richer history. Being independent hurt bad

I was surprised to see SC wasn't in play for South Carolina big man PJ Hall who decided to commit to Clemson this year.

His other interests were Florida, G Tech, Va Tech and Tenn.

Well, we feel you.

Imagine going 22-8 (13-5) and not playing in the NCAA Tournament.

Imagine going 22-4 (15-3), finishing the season ranked #14 in the AP Poll and not playing the NCAA Tournament.

Imagine going 25-6 (14-4), finishing the season ranked #11 in the AP Poll and not playing in the NCAA Tournament.

That was Alabama in 1973, 1974 and 1977. We finished ranked #14, 10, 6, 11 over a 4 year period from 1974-1977 and only played in 2 NCAA Tournaments.

SC had 25 wins in 2015 and didn’t make it in.

69’ we were 25-3 and didn’t make it.
68’ had 21 wins and left out.

What a fine line that is, eh? You’re being retarded.

1 tournament appearance in 8 seasons gets you fired. If the next guy fails, he gets fired. If the next guy fails, etc.

You do that until you find a winner. That’s...how it works. You should understand this as a Kentucky football fan.

If the next guy fails, what’s the worst that happens? We don’t make the tournament? Oh no! Moron.

Can we lure Gregg Marshall this off-season is the question. Tanner wouldn't have the balls

If the field was 68 teams for that entire time period, what would the number be?
Still significantly less than us.

Every year you get a team in the final four that was a fluke or not a top 15 ranked team going into it.
Just what happens in a single elimination tourney

USC should definitely go after Forbes. Many on the Bama board wanted him after Avery got canned.

It's also got to suck to have a bad AD. Thought we did with Battle. He hired Greg Goff (fired after one year), Avery, and screwed us in a Nike deal. Hope it works out for you guys.

The one thing usc has going for it with Marshall is he is a gamecock fan, the guy has season football tickets.

how true is this?
I mean CBB coach is a 12 month 24/7 job does he actually come down to Columbia Saturdays and attend games?
I have a hard time believing that. Especially since the season starts in late October

It’s worse because he had NO experience when we named him AD.
And this isn’t 1980s ex coach become AD. This was 2012

Frank is a solid X and Os guy. Doesn’t recruit great though.
