To become Lane Kiffin’s analyst at Ole Miss. A tale of 2 programs.

How do you like your coffee?

If it's anything like our last analyst hire it'll make for a fun 3 weeks.

I really do like Lane, but he's beginning to try way too hard on the trolling bit.

He’s supposedly a volunteer coach… so he’s still on MSU’s payroll… gotta sting a lil

this is one of those things where he MIGHT be able to hurt us on personnel issues, but im not sweating what he brings to the table from x's and o's. he was a decent, not great coordinator and honestly not that bright. very meh for me. id much rather have lebby than him.

Let’s face it. State did Zach dirty. Sad!

Not really. He had a great opportunity given to him. He should have continued to run Leach’s offense in 2023 and possibly into 2024 given the fact that the talent on the squad was built for it. Instead, he completely changed the offense and totally neutered Rogers until he was a shell of his former self.

Had he been patient and then started to adjust the offense to a new philosophy it would have been much better.

Coach your talent to what their strengths are. Don’t try to bend them to do something that they are not capable of.

So State did not do him dirty. I thought we made the right decision to elevate him at the time all that happened. But IMHO he botched his opportunity by trying to ram what he wanted down the player’s throat instead of letting the offense slowly evolve into what he wanted to do. He was a good defensive coordinator and I am sure he will land somewhere after he serves his time in Oxford.

He was always an interim with a chance to EARN the HC job full time. He didn't do enough to win over the AD, fans and players to keep him around.

I wish him the best of luck.

He is not the DC, he's a analyst. He had good defenses as a DC. Not bad for free. Thanks for picking up the bill!

Lane trying to emulate Saban. This is weirder for Arnett than it is Ole Miss.
