Sounds like he has a legitimate grievance
Also why State will never be a big Dawg.
Getting to a bowl and beating Ole Miss are not goals at LSU, they are expectations.

The funny thing is, that if you said we would go to the playoff but would lose to State in the Egg Bowl, just about every Ole Miss fan would take that deal.
I'm not so certain that it would be the same the other way around.

Says it all.
I didn't realize that Mullen averaged 7 wins over his 9 years there. I would have thought it was more like 8.5 or so.

Yet he did both two years in a row, and was still fired.
So, maybe not quite the "gotcha" that you thought?

He was fired after the bowl game. The only reason they fired him was because Ole Miss hired Kiffin. The "he lost the team" was just an excuse. He has a right to be upset.

Our linebacker gave our QB a black eye in a bowl practice. That's the definition of losing the locker room.

Have you ever spent any time in a football locker room?

Spurrier had a similar gripe when he arrived at SC in 2005. We had "beat Clemson" posters around the locker room that summer and he took all of that stuff down. Said it's a terrible mindset for players and fans to have which I totally agreed with.

You should research LSU's 2019 team.
Burrow got in a fight with our linebacker at practice. They won a NC.

He missed the bowl game because of it...broke his orbital bone

He won 8 games in 2018 (all vacated, now) and 6 games in 2019.
The team was falling apart under him. His win list in 2019 was:
UL
Southern Miss
Kentucky
Arkansas (Chad Morris)
Abilene Christian
Ole Miss (Matt Luke)
He left the team worse than he found it and only won with Mullen's players. He also wasn't a cultural fit at all.
I completely understand why they fired him.

He shouldn't have any grievances with us. 2018 had the best defense in the country and he squandered it.
He is currently a 50 point underdog to Ohio State. He isn't a good coach.

Moorhead was actually a decent recruiter. It was his only saving grace. He left Leach with some decent talent.

An idiot for taking the deal or thinking that MSU fans wouldn't? I know that the majority of MSU fans would but there are definitely those that wouldn't.

You insane if you think either fanbase isn't taking an automatic playoff birth with an Egg Bowl loss.
That's the dumbest shite I've ever heard.

Joe Moorhead had no substance. Came in speaking a big game from the beginning and he obviously had no idea how to tackle the head coaching job at Miss State or any other program in a top conference. He stepped off the plane and told the team to start getting their ring sizes in order. He was a shitty version of Jimbo without any of the plusses.
Good on State for firing that douche.

I actually will feel some empathy for Joe after saturdays game with Ohio State and hoping they don't put 80 points on the board.
