Yeah it hasn’t always been known as the most rabid fanbase and toughest place to play but look at the product on the field over the past 10 years as well.
I will say it has improved some since Chris Del Conte has become AD. This year will be interesting as well because the stadium is now fully enclosed with the south end zone renovations.

Texas has always been very much a "wine and cheese" type crowd.
Only a lot more "whine" than "wine" last decade or so.
Imagine the arrogance of KY Wildcat basketball fans, only without as many actual titles and trophies, and not having been relevant at all (in football) since 2009.
Multiply that by Oil Money and throw in rich lawyers and a really good dose of SJW activism and false sense of intellectual and moral superiority.
That kind of crowd simply doesn't get that loud at a football game.
Getting rowdy at a college football game is something for the hoi polloi to do.

Yeah well I’m old, so I think that would be fricking awesome.. but let’s see how it looks when it is done. I’m sure no one but Texas fans will like it, and I am just fine with that.
More importantly, let’s hope the enclosed end zone traps noise better and makes it louder..
