For those concerned about Texas: take note.

There has been much handwringing here of late that if Texas joins the SEC, they will exert disproportionate influence over the internal processes of the conference.
Less than one week ago, Aggie, another junior member of the conference, made a bunch of noise publicly about opposing this move because they did not want another Texas school in the SEC.
Several short days later, Aggie has been bitch slapped into submission so hard that those cucks are actually going to vote FOR inviting Texas into the conference this Thursday. Their president even had to walk back the statements of their sissy athletic director.
That's what happens when the tail tries to wag the dog in this conference. Get too far out over your skis and you will be humiliated. I wouldn't be too worried about Texas.

SEC has a tradition of having solidarity with formal votes. No one ever knows what the “real” vote was for anything.

Can you provide a tl:dr version? I can't read.

I'm not worried about anything Texas.
I'm worried about what the frick they are doing to the sport and where this is leading.
This is not SEC football.

No one thinks Texas will get any preferential treatment. This is the big league.

Wow, 180 degrees wrong.
It was Texas that insisted the Texas A&M be censured and intimidated the Aggies into voting "aye".
It's started...

They want to completely take over bigtime CFB. Eliminate the Power 5 conference idea, make it all "the SEC".
SEC Championship- each pod winner. Imagine LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, UGA in a 4 team playoff. Winner declares themselves "the best team in college football", and doesn't play in the NCAA tournament. Since we have ESPN's full backing, ESPN will also declare the SEC winner "the champion".
Ohio State, Clemson... want recognition as the best? Leave your conference and join the SEC. Otherwise, go play each other every year.
Within 5 yrs, those two schools will relent, bringing, say, Notre Dame and Michigan with them. SEC becomes a 20 team Super-Conference, which is viewed as a tier above everyone else.
