For all of the Mac vs Trask talk, Kyle Pitts should win the Heisman

Kyle Pitts isn't just dominating defenses statistically (3 multiple TD games in 7 starts this season), he's making highlight reel plays and is the only PFF graded skill player with a grade above 95 (96.0).

Had he not been injured and out for 2.5 games, I think he would definitely be in contention and he has certainly made a solid case for being the best player in the country

Sorry Vandy has the heisman locked up now with Fuller. 1 30 yard kick, Pitts yards

He's certainly the most consistently dominant player I've seen in college football this year.

If he was healthy for the entire season I wouldn’t argue it.

I'd argue Smith is the most important piece. Alabama's offense would be drastically different if he wasn't on the field right now. UF Pitts is as elite as it gets, but we have a lot of other options that can make up his production right now.

Najee Harris is more important than Smith and probably more deserving of the Heisman than Mac as well.

The Heisman is also an award to the Most Outstanding Player, not the Most Valuable Player

I mean they’re all great athletes but Devonta Smith is the most important out of all of them. Najee has had some games where he was bottled up a bit.

The most outstanding player is DeVonta Smith and it’s not even close.

No argument there. Smith is going nutz right now.

I love Najee and he does a lot for us but if DeVonta got hurt (in addition to Waddle) we'd really lose a lot of what we do offensively. B-Rob and the Freshmen would still give us a good burst in the run game.

Our WR rotation would be Metchie, Bolden, Baker and Holden.

And why was Najee bottled up? Because the opposing defensive staff game planned to make Mac/Smith beat them instead of Najee

Which was idiotic.

If we lose Smith our offensive explosiveness goes from incredible to pretty average. With Smith and Waddle we were perhaps the most explosive offense of all time. Losing both of them would turn us into a very good but much more defendable offense.

Najee’s solid and what puts him up a notch from good is his pass catching ability (which is huge in today’s game). That being said Smith is what terrorizes D coordinators right now.

While we’re talking non-QB candidates, I’d like to toss in WR Devontay Smith. He is killing it this year. Such a steady player over the last four years.

Outside of Metchie.....Yikes!!! And Metchie by himself would not be very effective.

No he isn’t... TBF, DS is at a minimum the best ACTIVE receiver in the SEC... it would be a tough discussion if JW weren’t injured.
