You hate to hear about someone passing away in the prime of their life.

After the Coleman renovation they need to name the front row of the student section Ratliff Row

I’ve known people who have been hospitalized from covid and a friends mom died from it. None of them got that bad that quick. It’s crazy that the kid goes into the hospital last night and dies there over night. Doesn’t sound right. Prayers to the family and Alabama fan base.

But to understand why Ratliff puts an immense amount of time and effort into building the brand of Alabama basketball, you have to understand what Alabama basketball did for him.
During that aforementioned freshman year of his, Ratliff battled things most first-year college students experience and are maybe scared or hesitant to admit — anxiety, homesickness, panic attacks, and other mental health issues.
Ratliff spent almost two months of that basketball season living in his car. He struggled to go to class on a consistent basis, shutting off the outside world except for Alabama basketball.
“I had a really tough living situation,” Ratliff said. “So I slept in my car. I did not want to be anywhere else. I did not want to go to my room or do anything. I just shut down. I needed something I could look forward to and basketball was that release for me. I could get away. It meant so much to me.

Damn, this is why you should strive to be healthy.
It’s insane that he died that quickly from covid. Prayers to the family.

Was wondering why they kept showing him on TV during the Bama game. How sad. Must have gotten it in Indy during the tourney. RIP

Damn. I'm not sure I can think of another disease that has the wide ranging effects that covid has, symptoms can range from sniffles then your fine to this young man's other extreme, I know he was overweight but was so young and otherwise in good health. Condolence's to his family and the Bama faithful.

Gotta take it seriously because you never know how you will react to an infection. Even people with healthy BMI have ended up getting knocked on their arse by it for whatever reason.
The thing that is crazy is all our preventative measures taken for COVID essentially stamped out influenza in the US this flu season. I saw a tweet about how in a given year usually several hundred children die to the flu but this year ONE child died due to the flu! We could probably essentially eliminate the flu by seasonally tweaking work schedules, wearing masks, and reducing class sizes to increase space between kids in a room. Oh and I think the flu vax utilization was way up this year too. But with COVID, it has still managed to kill 500k in a year. Crazy.

My wife and I take D3 (10k iu) daily in addition to a multivitamin. My doctor says the three best preventive measures are D3, D3 and D3. Just my two cents.

multivitamin
which one do you take? brand, etc? there are so many

The best preventative measure is a vaccine, actually.

Or everything that was a flu death was reclassified as Covid. Not much difference.

There was a gathering to honor Luke outside of Coleman Coliseum today. His parents were there.
