It sounds like he got COVID and rapidly got very sick over the last 24 hours (or less), developing pneumonia and requiring a ventilator. Unfortunately he passed less than an hour ago.

Anybody that's a basketball fan like that no matter who you cheer for is ok with me, much respect to that guy. Seemed super fun and was always at the games. Sorry to hear this for his family and friends.

The quickness in this is something I haven't heard of from anyone, regardless of age.
I just feel terrible whenever I hear of young people passing away. It's just not fair
