Florida would have lost if Driskel had remained healthy

I don't know why, but anyone that watched that game against UT had to be feeling it. Driskel is shaky. Has been for a few games dating back to last season. And no one had confidence that he could get the job done.

Then the change, and you could see it immediately, after Murphy shook off the jitters, the team just looked better with him at QB.

You can't always tell things like that in practice. Gary Danielson said it, sometimes a guy gets under the lights, and just... is better.

I think Driskel's injury may end up being one of the quirkiest lucky things to happen to Florida football in a while.

We'll see though. Murphy is lucky to have UK next and then a step up with Arkansas before the trip to LSU.

We are so due for some good luck.

When Halapio was shaken I wanted to vomit. We were dropping like flies. What happened IMO (granted it was a terrible TN team) was a nice surprise.

Brisette is gone. You might be right. The story has not been written yet.

It will be a very interesting season in the SEC, anything can happen. Should be a fun "adventure".

Until UF recruits and develops OL on the level of the Pounceys, Carl Johnson, et al they will be an habitual 2-3 loss team. That's where they are getting whipped. Driskel was not the Gators' problem.

Team rallied around murph. You can see his leadership on display.

Also, we have a freaking QB that can make checks at the LOS now. Shocking!

This is an idiotic post. We wouldn't have lost this game with Driskel at qb or with Ben Stiller at qb...not against a bad team with our defense.

While true that Murphy may surprise....it is easy to diss players from the comfort of your liv room and not appreciate all the hard work they have put in.

I like the speed of Murphy and the quickest...lets hope he can master passing plays against SEC defenses...cause we are going to see nine men fronts trying to dare us to pass.

Honest question is Murphy is better then why did he not beat out driskel for the job?

I think that Florida is now a far better team. My favorite in the east the rest of the way out.

Insider reports out of Gainesville is that JD just has a stubbed toe and that Boom declared it a season ending injury.

You want my honest answer?

I think there would've been quite a fuss if Murphy started over Brantley or Driskel.

And by fuss, I don't mean from the coaches or players.

Sad, but true. If Florida had AJ McCarron, well, they'd be Alabama.

He means that certain people around the program wanted Brantley or Drisk to start.

Oh...because Murphy and Brissett were black? Please. Bris had every chance to compete for qb spot...Driskel is a great athlete and has a lot of skill. It does appear though that he limited his running this year...and he may very well been injured before season started (besides the appendix)and no one would know. UF coaches are tight lipped about injuries.

Same...really thought TM did some nice things, esp. on some of the runs.

Only thing is last years Tenn game was the game that started earning Driskel all of the "he is legit" praise from the fans and writers. Maybe that's a common element to Murphy or maybe he reall is better. Remains to be seen
