Florida State has struggled recruiting past years. Maybe that program can finally escape college football purgatory and compete for the ACC again.

I forget; who was in charge of the FSU football program at the start of this once historic programs downfall?

Don’t talk because the more you do the stupider you sound. Your team is 5-7 bro and the laughing stock of college football so shut the frick up

He left before it. FSU wouldn’t pay for any facility improvements or pay raise. As far as I’m aware, FSU still doesn’t invest in facilities and I can’t possibly see them being as active in NIL to their Florida & Miami counter parts. But they are a blue blood so they always get some kids to commit on name alone I guess.

See, yall have to worry about stuff like this, and we don't. We'll still be in the top 5. Every school around us depends on Georgia for players, so this isn't something new.

What are you taking about? Why would we worry you got poached by Norvell? Are you saying FSU is going after more commits?

I'm saying that we don't have to worry about people flipping or transferring, we will still have a great class in the end. We haven't had to worry about recruiting since Kirby took the job. If he wants to go lose then that's on him.

It’s just weird it’s a TE, especially with an offense that passes to the TE quite a bit, not to mention how Bowers has been developed. I don’t even remember FSU passing to anyone outside Johnny Wilson last year. Their TE’s combined for like 30 passes all year. And that’s where a 5 star TE wants to go? You don’t find that odd? Found it surprising myself.

I agree it is weird, but fsu has always recruited that side of Georgia very well. They also have Florida A&M across town. The women there has always been a draw for players as well.

Jimbo certainly deserves some blame for FSU going downhill. That being said, hiring Willie Taggart was an absolute disaster. Besides the fact that his performance was only good at USF due to getting lucky with one qb, I could just tell he was not going to work out for them. Whenever someone says they just got their dream job right when hired, big red flag. He reached his mountain top and had no reason to keep striving.

Took them a while to get past the stench that Jimbo left on that program.

Jimbo left them with more 4/5 stars on that team than we probably had. I have zero sympathy the next coach couldn’t get wins on talent alone.

Isn't this kid like 30 minutes from FSU's campus? It is really the local college for SWGA.

That’s FSUs pitch. Start here now, at UGA you will be behind other 4-5 star TEs. That’s what everyone outside of Bama pitches, hell they might even do it now.

I’ve never been impressed by Mike Norvell tbh.

Have you been impressed by Jimbo?

Wouldn't surprise me if they passed Clemson in 2024. Probably not quite there, though.

Little bro, you know FSU had a coach between Norvell and Fisher, right?

Follow Landen Thomas's recruiting. He was a FSU commit from April 2022 to October 2022 and then flipped to UGA. He's now flipped back. Many UGA folks also expect his HS teammate WR Ny Carr to flip to FSU as well.

Plus, Athens is 215 from his hometown of Moultrie. Tallahassee is 64 miles away.

I think think Kirby’s record with TE’s > Norvell’s record with TE’s. I didn’t know he was a prior commit.
