You lost me here. An entirely different team got smoked.

It wouldn’t have mattered if FSU had the Baltimore Ravens defense out there playing, without that quarterback, FSU didn’t have a chance against the SECs second place team, and making excuses for a bunch of quitters isn’t going to change anything

Their entire team opted out lol. How about the team that got in on a miracle play that had a 99.99% chance of losing by Vegas odds to a team with a losing record. They went undeafeated and got hosed. Never in history has a team with one loss jumped an undefeated from a power conference.

Wow, I felt that.
That’s a man(or woman/them/they) that’s hurting ladies and gentlemen. I’m sorry that happened to you. I’m sorry that Bama hurts you and your pride year after year. I would like to give you some advice on how to cope with Bama envy and fatigue, but I can’t, I’m a Bama fan. I’ll pray for you though

Edited: not sure what Townedrunkard identifies as. Seems to be female by all the emotions, but I don’t want to offend

I'm confident ESPN already knows who is winning the NBA Finals.

Well, the 2024 NCAA Football Playoff Invitational will always go down as the most controversial Invitational.

So what? The Playoff Committee selected BAMA and the shorthorns and when the number is only 4 someone is going to be disappointed. When the BCS was going strong the magic number was only 2, plenty of whining to go around then as well.

Here's the truth, FSU ain't getting in over the SEC Champs. Norvell failed to motivate his team and suffered a 60-point beatdown in the Orange Bowl against another SEC team.

ESPN is not the problem. FSU needs to look in the mirror and man up.

The one that lost the dead weight of the sour grapes quitters?

Yes it did.

Of course ESPN knew. No one is shocked by that.

That's the reason the committee exists, instead of just using the computer formulas- so that "people" could tweak and adjust it as needed. And "people" is always going to be TV money. ESPN didn't just know, they dictated that outcome. I don't know what the computers would have said, but those in power made sure it never came down to that.

It's the reason TCU and Baylor never stood a chance at the playoffs, but any time it was Texas or Oklahoma the Big 12 champ made it in.

Whether they knew or not, Marty being in Tuscaloosa isn’t that big of a shock.

At least the way things played out they could play the "opt out" card and issue those really nifty "unconquered" rings.

I doubt the committee needed any help in saying FSU wasn’t top4.

FSU just didn't have a good resume.

Once they had two starting QB injuries at the end of the year, there was zero chance.

You start squeaking out wins against Boston College, Clemson, UF, and Louisville and the writing is on the wall.`

Bowden quotes about FSU decision to join ACC instead of the SEC in 1991. Quote 1 to Finebaum: “I felt, Paul, that it was too difficult to win through the SEC to win a national championship. I felt like our best route would be to go through the ACC

LOL at FSU

At some point, FSU and its minions will stop whining like a child too short to ride the big boy attractions at Disney World but that day doesn't appear to be too close. This shite is funny.

Florida State was more deserving than Texas and Georgia was better than Alabama.

The committee put Texas over Florida State because they believed Texas was the better team and put Alabama in over Georgia because they believed they were more deserving.

Georgia was honestly the best team in the country last year and got left out because of sports politics

Yep, this is it. Maybe at the time there were some argumenrs for the original four. To me, seemed like they didnt want to see GA once AGAIN winning it all. They screwed up and make two bad selections. GA and FSU should have been in it.

And I do believe GA would have easily won another Natty. What a shame in selecting two subpar teams.

Georgia, Bama, and Michigan had formidable skill well above the rest.
If only Texas could’ve tested their skill level amongst those teams… shame none of them were on the longhorns’ schedule in 2023

Also, didn’t Washington have multiple top 10 draft picks, which included their QB? Seems pretty skillful if you ask me

Texas lost to a Pac12 team.

And beat a brand spanking new Bama QB

That will be all.
