Is this correct? I read this morning that they might be without their entire starting defensive front? If this is true how does this effect this game. I don't know much about Florida's back up defensive linemen. Like to get some feed back from Florida fans, thanks!

not sure LSU can afford to overlook any team at this point. Another loss and the season goes down the drain for sure.

Realistically with the new edge rushers teams are coveting, on passing downs that really is what coordinators are playing now.... maybe like a 0-6-5 or vice versa

Yeah I don't think I said anything about us overlooking the Gators. I'm just curious how this effects Florida. I mean losing your entire staring defensive front has to effect your defense some how.

More concerning for Florida is its defensive front. McElwain was uncertain about the health of his entire starting defensive line against the Tigers. Defensive end Jordan Sherit (leg) and defensive tackle Joey Ivie (thumb) sat out Florida's 13-6 win at Vanderbilt and will miss several more weeks. Sherit will have arthroscopic surgery. Defensive tackle Caleb Brantley (finger) and defensive end Bryan Cox Jr. (leg) also could be sidelined against LSU.

We will be without Ivey and Sherit for sure. Brantley and Cox are both injured as well, but could play.

Add in Del Rio, Chris Thompson, Anzalone, Sharpe, and Powell...all having been recently injured to some extent, and things are looking a little rough.

Not trying to be a dick, but how does a finger keep a DT out?

Yeah and I was a safety

We had a defensive end play for 6 weeks with a broken thumb too. I'm not saying it's easy, but it's not like a finger is going to keep a DT from being effective.

Seems like we always do worse when teams have multiple players out. Like that Ole Miss game from a few years ago...or the Wisconsin game this year.

The depth chart just came out for the game.

Cox Jr
Clark
Brantley
Cece

Is the starting 4 right now. That means Sherit (who has started all year at end) and Joey Ivie (DT starter) are both out.

Brantley and Cox Jr are dinged up, so we don't know how much they can play or how well they can play.

Cece and Taven Bryan will be the 2nd team DT. Jachai Polite, although still growing (currently 275 or so) will play a lot. He has been OK in limited opportunities. Jabari Zuniga, Keivonnus Davis, and Antonneous Clayton will rotate in a lot at DE. The only other guy they might throw out there at DT if people get tired is Luke Ancrum - but he is a bit undersized at 265 to play DT, although he wasn't even listed on the depth chart this week.

Gut check time for UF's DL for sure.

The primary 8 guys you will see all day
Cox
Brantley
Clark
Bryan
CeCe
Zuniga
Davis
Polite
