Nope. This was not when Florida cheated. Not even close.

Okay but whatever you say.

hey litlle D gator...
The Gators beat Kentucky 25-17 on Nov. 17, 1984, to clinch the school’s first SEC championship. Six months later, SEC presidents voted to strip the title due to NCAA violations committed under Charley Pell.
Get outta here you fuggin moron. Any team that has won a National Championship just cheated more than other schools that year.
Who are you kidding? Or are you really that stupid?

Not LSU..... Maybe OSU, Bama & GA. It is going to take more time for the full effect of NIL/Portal to set in. All about who pays the most to win. Unlike the old days when it was all about who paid the most (UNDER THE TABLE) to win.
Indiana & Vandy are just the beginning.

So, GAME ON MF's!!!
This cope that certain programs cheated and most didn't, is consistently one of the most ignorant takes I see on this board.
For instance, if "blue bloods" were cheating and everyone else wasn't, why are blue bloods still landing more talent and winning natties while schools like Ole Miss and Mizzou aren't?

Funny you say that. . . The 'SEC This Morning' crew agreed with my statement just yesterday, as hard as it was for Doering to accept. He did mention the potential, money, talent & upside. But WHY would a Coach like Drink or Kiffin want to go to FL & get fired before they even have the time it takes to rebuild a program that is pretty low right now?

Strong hate for Missouri. Threatened by them? I think you might have to check further into facilities. You might be wrong. Is Florida really a great more fertile in terms of recruiting ground than Mississippi? I agree some…but there is lots of competition for those players. Mississippi has a lot of D 1 football players.

There have always been teams that had good stretches. Mizzou, for instance, won their division two years in a row over a decade ago. Mizzou was really good in 2007.
Now folks like you are pointing to that kind of activity and attributing it to NIL and this pretend "new normal".
The top and bottom have definitely gotten closer together but teams like Indiana and Vandy aren't about to start regularly competing for natties.

That's an entirely different argument.
The ceiling at Florida is certainly higher, at the same time, the expectations will also be more.
Florida is undoubtedly the better job if you want to seriously contend for a natty. Mizzou/Ole Miss are better jobs if you like being "the man" and you want job security.

Florida has the advantage in location,
Really? I wouldn't think so. Gainesville is not on the coast or anything. Closer to the beach and other things, but the actual location itself? If they were located in Tampa or something I could see it.

I agree here.

history
Recent history for sure, but Florida is kind of a new program in this respect. I don't think it's enough that some recruit or whatever is going to choose Florida over Ole Miss.
LSU wasn't really shite before 2000 and Saban. What changed was LSU started putting lots of resources into the program, and they have ever since.
So it's not like Ole Miss can't do similar things.

Ole Miss and Mizzou are both Top 15 programs right now in the Playoff hunt,
Mizzou will not be in playoffs. Ole Miss likely will not either but the fact they are now speaks volumes about Kiffin. Mizzou has just benefited from a soft schedule, no merit to their record at all. Mizzous best win is against 4-3 Kanas? They end up at 8-4 or with an upset, at 9-3? Which is a banner year for Mizzou but be honest, look at the schedule.

Florida isn't a better job today. Expectations do not equal reality.
UF is essentially asking Lane/Drink to come start all over again for a 10% pay raise & potential... potential what? Chance to make the CFP because both coaches have that chance today.
Florida should go after a coach with more to prove. Not a rival coach that has turned previously inferior programs into objectively better programs today.
Honestly, James Franklin is a slam dunk for Florida.

I think everyone here wants the drugs you are on. Remind me, when was the last time Ole Miss or Mizzou won the SEC? A Natty is Football? You very clearly do not know CFB at all if you think Mizzou and UF are equal jobs. Very, very dumb post.
Also Florida has more players in the pros then Ole Miss and Missouri so very, very, very bad point.
Crack or meth?

Since joining the SEC, Mizzou has more 10-win seasons (4-2), SEC Championship appearances (2-0), NY6 bowl appearances (2-1), and NY6 bowl wins (2-0) than Tennessee.

Kiffin and Drinkwitz are the singular voice of their programs. No meddling boosters who think they should be the decision makers.
That is NOT the case at UF either silly.
