Kiffen needs to lobby for that job. That job is a good fit for him. He would do well there. He can only go so far at Ole Miss. If he doesn’t care about championships then he can chill and retire at Ole Miss with little pressure.

The best thing Florida has going for it next year is that there is very little chance their schedule is as hard as it has been the past 2 years.

In order for Florida to have the kind of record and team Florida fans expect, they'd have to be a top playoff contender.

3 of their 4 losses are teams currently ranked in the top10.

#2 Miami
#4 Texas A&M
#10 LSU

And their 4th loss is to #19 USF who is the highest ranked G5 team and will thus likely be in the playoff.

It's not going to get any easier either. They have Miss St this weekend which is their "break" is a 4-2 team with only losses to A&M and Tenn. Then they still have Georgia, Tennessee and Ole Miss before their rival game against FSU.

And still people will give them a hard time because they "Didn't leave the state of Florida for an OOC game".

It's brutal. I hope they fire him before he gets an easier schedule.

Give him a schedule like Indiana that's only big game is against Oregon and he has 4 losses, I'd be like damn, dude sucks. But being competitive in these games with minor mistakes costing the games and the team hasn't quit on him ain't too bad considering.

"Where does Venables go and who takes Venables’s spot at OU?"

Was just thinking about that and I believe Lane Kiffin would do great at OU! With the recruiting and facilities that OU has I believe someone like Kiffin would have them on top!

Urban would be a mistake, just as he was with the Jags.
Meyer is done.

Outside of that... Lanning? Kiffin? Sark

What has Kiffin ever done to make you think he’s a top coach in college?

3-15 against top 10 teams
Only finished 2 seasons in the top 10 (#6 in 2011, #9 in 2023)
No conference championships
No playoff appearances

Even before he went to Ole Miss people were scared of this guy. Why?

This dude is all hype.

I’d take Drinkwitz over Kiffin any day though I can’t even remember what school Drinkwitz coaches at.

There are no easy jobs in this league. Even the teams that suck on paper have the talent to beat anyone on any given Saturday.

Drink has done a great job, can't remember where he is now but he would be a definite upgrade over Buzz Cut.

Next 4 years our schedule comparatively won't be bad for the SEC since KY and SC are permanents.

At this point Im open to any of the big boy coaches.

Tired of the so called up and coming, good ole boy types.

Mullen wasn't that but he's a special case of special.

Everyone in the south eastern conference coaches Florida not to mention having to compete with Florida State in Miami is a tough job

This just isn’t true. Only 2 all time great coaches have won there. They expect nattys. It’s like Auburn the expectations are way too high for what they are.

We have 3 nattys...with the right coach Uf, Miami, FSU can be elite. There are some schools you can't win a title at but the 3 major schools in Florida are not one. All three have multiple titles in the last 50 years. So success can be had, just need a good coach. Talent is all around you.
