How come the last hiring didn't go to the way you and other Florida fans wanted on the HC hiring. Why will this go around be better?

You give a guy like Kiffin the resources he'd have at UF and it would be a scary thought.

Maybe, spurrier only won one natty at uf and the sec was not as tough then. Is lane more avid about football than sos? Is he a better coach than sos? Urban got two but kiffin sure as hell ain’t on meyers level. If uf is such a great job why are hof coaches the only ones with results there?

Happy for Kiffen. He’s doing well and great for the game. NIL makes it easier to get kids to Oxford. Why jump into the dumpster fire only to have 0-2 losses at another SEC school?

Honestly, Napier was not thought of as a bad hire at the time he was hired. He asked for, and received, many more resources than the coaches before him. We now have facilities that match up with anyone, significant NIL funds and a huge pool for assistants.

No one knew he was going to bring in a bunch of his sycophants as assistants and use up that entire pool for mostly guys from a G5 program. Everyone saw that he had to give up play calling, except him of course. Most 3 year olds can count to 11, but Billy couldn’t find someone to do that to make sure the right number of players were on the field.

The reason we think it will go better is because we are finally committed to funding football operations and it takes one stupid, stubborn guy like Napier to do so little with so much.

Over the last 20 years, Arkansas, MSU and Tennessee have had 6 different football coaches. 5 programs are tied next with 5, including Auburn.

It's fairly common in the SEC for anyone who doesn't have a coach named Saban or Smart or just perpetually sucks so bad, what's the point?

How many AP top 10 teams did Drink lose to while rebuilding the program from the ashes? Now take those games out & look at the bad losses. A&M in 2023 was a bad game during a good season. They should have/could have beat GA between the hedges until Cook threw a totally inexcusable INT when driving down tbe field late in the 4th. The 2023 Bama loss last year was a Drew Pyne led effort. He handed Bama the game with bad INTs, bad overall play. Noel was out as well, D played great until Pyne imploded. The Vandy game this year should have been a win. Beau’s injury was huge, the game stats would tell you Mizzou should have won. Didn’t happen & sometimes that’s the way it is.

Just a little perspective to counter the 1-9 against top 10 teams comments. Drink has Mizzou trending in the right direction. That being said, the stats are the stats. That record is bad & would not be acceptable for most programs, but Mizzou fans can look at points such as mine & put that record into perspective, understand things are still trending upward for the program.

I agree. Kiffin would kill it at UF. He’s probably still connected with all the high schools from when he was at FAU. I don’t think it’s happening though. Bucket is pretty dry, I wonder if they gave Bob Stoops a call for giggles.

That’s an unknown. What is known is he’s killing it at Ole Miss and for the first time in his career being deemed successful. Why would he give that up?

False. Drink would end up in a revolt though for sure.

Yep...I think he's had so much success at Ole Miss he's pushed the bar too high to take an LSU or FL or Aub job at this point. They would all have to make significate improvements to just be considered a lateral this point. 5 years ago

No. Not even close. Right now both Florida and LSU have better rosters than OM (by star ratings). Kiffin would immediately make either UF or LSU better than OM in 2026.

He's a clown. He got bent that Mullen dressed up for Halloween in the post game conference to entertain his children. I personally don't want him anywhere near UF but no one gives a shite what I think so it will be what it will be.

Breaking: Being a proud football program seems absurd to USCjr fan.

Florida fans won't hear this dude. They just plug their ears and go, "la la, la, la, la, i'm not listening, i'm not listening."

I mean I get it. I’m going through what they’re going through right now as a Saints fan. Not as long as Florida fans have been going through it but enough to understand the pain and desperation

You havent hoisted a single trophy and we do take some solace in beating you during this rough time thus proving that even at our worse, we are STILL better than OM at their best.

Dont know about the next guy, but Id be pretty fkn humble if Sunbelt Billy Napier beat my 10 win team.
