It is probably an age thing. I distinctly remember listening to sports talk Radio one day back in the 90's when the Gators were absolutely rolling and we were deep in the Goff era and the host asking "Who was the Gator's biggest rival, FSU or Tennessee?" It was back and forth but all the fans that had been around for a while said Georgia.
If I had to put money on how the Ol' Ball Coach would answer that question, I'd bet on Georgia...for the same reasons Kirby would say Florida.
I've been to the Florida-FSU game as well. Different Vibe. The Cocktail party has it's share of trash talking and drunk brawling but at the end you run into Gators at the bar or whatever and it is all fun. But the atmosphere at that FSU game was more akin to when we play Tech...you just want to hang 50 on them and not think about them until next year. Richt's "Clean, Old Fashioned Hate" quote works for that game as well.
Again, I'm an outsider but I'm at least familiar with it having grown up in Jax. The Tennessee rivalry is like us and Bama...Lots of important games because they were both at their high points at the same time but not really a historic rivalry in the sense of FSU and Georgia. Feel free to correct me Gator Fans

While the "Cocktail party" is intense during the game for sure..never had any issues before or after a game with any Georgia fans, same with Tenn.
Now fricking Miami fans and FSU fans...there will prob be an issue for sure if you get to close to their tailgates.

I would go with FSU simply because most of us interact with them the most being in-state. UGA is a huge game, but doesn't have the same level of hatred because the game set up is so unique.
Might be different for those up near Georgia. And likewise, probably get more saying Miami if ask those in South Florida.

From what I have seen on here most seem to burn with a white hot hatred for FSU.
That's not to say they have fond feelings toward Georgia, though. We probably come in a semi-close second.

My hatred for Georgia runs deep, but Florida State exists on an entirely different level. Georgia is a rivalry. Florida State is a disease. Watching them lose feels less like sports and more like justice being restored.
