Not a Florida fan but have always rooted for them because my stepdad was a Gator so I have always liked them.
His distain matrix was
1 - FSU: circus clown school nothing good about 'em
2 - Miami: horrible fans and just a horrible culture
3 - Georgia: super annoying but at least a good school

All I know is FSU's athletic dept takes over $22 million annually in public funding and they still went 2-10 in football.

Lot of truth there. For instance, I hate any success that UTk athletics may have. I couldn't care less about AU. And, actually find myself pulling for them more often than not, especially given how awful their football became. Maybe a Russian is the answer. But, frick UTk in general.
Fans of each are really pretty decent. I just hate that stupid orange school. Nothing personal.

um..it was when Spurrier dominate your asses and Dooley dominated ours. The record is 57-44-2 Georgia. Not like it is very one sided at all.

It's a strange rivalry like that in that both teams never seem to be up at the same time...it is a back and forth of one team owning the other one for a decade + at a time. I got into in the 80s.
