2009 UGA? Did you get heckled or something?

That was the first of many painful losses for me as a student in Sanford

1989 LSU at A&M
First of many asskickings before the corndogs crawfished out of the series for the third time

2012 A&M at Auburn
First roadtrip after our move to the SEC. GREAT fans and great welcome…AU fans exhibited great sportsmanship/class after being stunned by Johnny Football.

2005 Cotton Bowl vs UT
Thoroughly Frantastic / humiliating loss to Vols team with size advantage that made us look like a JV B team.

LSU

First-1977 Miss St
Best-in a loss, @ Auburn in 2010
In a win, Earthquake Game, just because I was a student and it seemed surreal at the time
Worst-1993 Florida, stayed for every second of the 58-3 blowout. On a positive note, we scored first.

2012 SEC Championship Game (purely from a great game perspective); 2005 Florida (purely from a how much fun I had perspective)

2007 Alabama/FSU in Jacksonville (purely from a horrid game perspective); 2013 Iron Bowl (purely from a how much fun I did not have perspective)

While I'd been to college games before, I didn't attend a game involving a SEC team until my freshman year of college at UGA.

That was UGA vs Texas Tech in 1996. It was a horrible night in terms of weather, raining cats and dogs and Byron Hanspard was running like crazy against us. But UGA hung around and hung around and Bobo hit Juan Daniels for a go ahead TD with 1:45 to go and the stadium shook.

At that point I was hooked.

My favorite (best) UGA game was actually not in Athens... it was UGA at SC in 2004. We went to the game with some friends who were SC fans and were in the middle of a heavily SC section. UGA went down 16-0 and the SC fans around us were euphoric. My friend asked my why I seemed calm. I told him "We have David Greene at QB and it's early. There's no reason to panic from the UGA side." I got scoffed at by several SC fans around me.

Final score - 20-16 UGA.

Least Favorite - UGA vs Tennessee in 1998 in Athens. It was a game day game and I was a student. The campus was electric leading up to the game. Manning was gone. Jamaal Lewis had gotten hurt the week before. There was so much belief UGA was going to win that game.

UGA lost 22-3. The Travis's ran all over UGA. Tee Martin didn't even play that well but he didn't need to. UGA's running game was non-existent and Quincy Carter threw picks like crazy and completed less than 50% of his passes. It was a complete blowout in every sense of the word and there was nothing positive to take from the game at all.

Glad I got to see McFadden play. Even gladder to see us win.

Alabama at Tennessee 2022

Need I say more?

Vanderbilt at Tennessee 2013

Miserable. Just miserable. Cold. Windy. Low scoring. Loss to Vandy.

it wasnt Johnny Football we were stunned by. Hell we beat him the very next year. We were stunned by the fact our players quit mid game and it was plain for all to see. Stadium was empty by the 4th quarter. First time I had ever seen a team quit playing like that.

UGA/UK game sometime in late 70s was first.

Best wasn't SEC game then but is now, 2017 Rose Bowl against OU. If that doesnt count UGA/LSU in 2014(?) I think it was...possibly 2017 SEC Championship Game against Auburn....but the outcome of that one was never in any real doubt but it was sweet to revenge the regular season loss...

1996 UGA/UF (I think, when Spurrier and company hung 50 on UGA in Athens).

I honestly have no idea. It was in the mid 90s and in Tuscaloosa (I do remember that) but that memory is conflated with a game I went to at UNA and the local high school games. For whatever reason I remembered the team being "Colorado" but it certainly wasn't them. Best guess is that it was 1996 Kentucky

First game was Auburn/Ole Miss in 1985. Got to watch Bo Jackson at his finest.

Best SEC Game I saw in person was Auburn/LSU in 1997 in Baton Rouge. Cecil Collins ran for about 1 million yards, but somehow Auburn stayed in the game, and then LSU decided to pass on fourth and 2 with about a minute left and the TE dropped the ball. And then Auburn scored a TD in the last minute. Been to more memorable games, including 2013 AU Georgia and many Iron Bowls, but that one was just a damn good ball game between two good teams that really wanted to win.

Worst SEC game was Auburn/Arkansas in 2012. Watched our QB go back in the pocket on a play and the OL gave him about 11 or 12 seconds to throw the ball. And he just looked downfield and took the sack. Defense quit after that play, and in reality our season was over.

First game 1992 lsu ole miss
Best game 2000 lsu Alabama
Although I’ve probably seen better this game was special because my dad took me in 94,96,98 hoping for me to see lsu beat Alabama at home. He was there in 1969.
Worst lots to choose from 1999 lsu MSU. All those cowbells and to lose when it looked like his knee was down. Tough. Helped to get ride of dinardo. 1999 was a long year.

Auburn fan:

First game: Pacific (1989)

Best SEC game: Too many to pick just one: 2010 National Title Game against Oregon; 2013 Kick Six Iron Bowl; 2006 Florida game; 1994 win over Florida in the Swamp; 2017 Iron Bowl… these are probably the Top 5.

Worst SEC game you attended too many to choose. 2023 NMST and 2012 Texas A&M stick out in my mind the most.
