Feels weird that the TSIO is basically a top 10 showdown

But is only the second biggest conference game this week.

I think Tennessee dropped to 11, but Bama vs Tennessee at 7 vs 11 is a big deal.

Yet the biggest conference game this weekend is going to be in Austin.

I thought it was going to be top 10, but the coaches and AP really punished Tenn for their showing against Sun Belt Billy at Neyland (and deservingly so ).

It’s pretty simple. Alabama and Tennessee lost two weekends ago. Had both been undefeated, the spotlight and primetime game would be in Knoxville.

Yep. My daughter wants me to chaperone the group at the game this week and I believe I might go.

I was told weeks ago that the Georgia Texas game was going to be the night game, but Idk if that was true or not.. but it was from someone who might have known.

Both of those markets are pretty big.. this game should get monster ratings..

Valid point.

Still, two one loss teams, ranked basically in the top 10, is a pretty exciting match up on paper.

Many week 1 games are between highly ranked teams that no one has any clue of how good they are, but are highly anticipated.

I do agree that both teams definitely had plenty of "not-top-10" moments this year.

And we thank you for that, I did not want to sit through the heat one week after having to survive the Cotton Bowl

Huge weekend. SECCG elimination weekend for 5 teams, basically.

I like most the games this weekend.

FLA/KY - Will Florida start winning and make the Vols look good
USC/OKLA - Which prison cell block will Oklahoma being staying in the rest of their foreseeable SEC future
Aub/Miz - Can Auburn win a game

Vandy and A&M are the only two crap games this week, imo, no offense to Miss State, if that game is close in the 4th I am would watch it.

We're talking about rolling into the 3rd Saturday of October and I have zero confidence in any team's current ranking.

Army and Navy in the Top 25. They may play for the AAC Championship, the winner be in the CFP, and then play again in the normal Army-Navy game.

The parity in this season is amazing.

And I would bet money on 3 of 4 if not all of these 4 cellar dwellers of the conference right now (State, Auburn, Florida, South Carolina) ruining a team's season.

I have made a guarantee pick a month before the season started that LSU will lose to Florida.

That game is a few weeks away so who knows what happens between now and then.

I would bet against Florida every game moving forward though.
