Quit being soft. You guys literally let alters get you in your feels when it’s completely obvious. Everyone rides the train of hating UT baseball from the team a few years ago. Have we done decent in sports recently? Yes. Have we dominated? No. It’s not hard to tell the level headed people that know where we have been and where we can be again.

It will be an amazing environment at Baum this weekend. Hopefully three really close games, a couple ejections and starting times set for a couple hours before or after the LSU games so I can watch.

The head-to-head w/l record is interesting until you look at the timing of those matchups and consider that Vitello went 47-13 in the SEC the years they DIDN'T play and it becomes almost entirely a scheduling fluke.
The anxiety is already creeping in. You will be able to feel it in the air at first pitch. The fanbase will be waiting for the bad things to happen. When they do they air will get sucked out of Baum and maybe, your team.
It isnt really even about Tennessee, I didn't even claim that it was. It's about you guys knowing, consciously or subconsciously, there is something missing in the NCAA tournament with your program. Especially in recent years.
Your coach is too likeable and has gone too long without winning. Everyone wants him to win. That is adding tremendous pressure to your team and it is only building. You can say I'm projecting all day long. Rick Barnes doesn't have quite the program that DVH has, but I know his team is going to tighten up sooner or later in the NCAA tournament because they want to win for him so badly.

What are you talking about, sports? Tennessee sports are good, they aren't all on the same level. We are talking about baseball. Fans do hate Tennessee baseball, and plenty of them do fear Tennessee baseball, and for good reason. Stop apologizing. They aren't going to like you, and in a different discussion they don't like each other either.

Why can't fans, REAL baseball fans, just enjoy the game itself and may the best team win.

As long as you realize where the actual disrespect is coming from. Go read the game thread from last night when Liam Doyle is pounding the edges of the zone with 99 mphs on 2 days rest and they can't even see that it's a great performance. All you will read is "he's a bigger douchebags than the typical douchebag in a sport notorious for having douchebags." "We are going to destroy him like we did in Fayetteville" "he shouldn't be allowed to pitch because he might get hurt even though I hate him."
I will openly acknowledge that Dave Van Horn is a great coach and they have a great program. I will even say they have a better team top 2 bottom. But they might get tight this weekend. That's the truth. If they do they are in trouble no doubt.

The biggest Arkansas podcast on youtube was in complete agreement that the last team they wanted to see was Tennessee before the bracket even came out. They ran a poll with 100s of replies that said they got a bad draw after it came out. One group of players has significantly more pressure on it than the other for an obvious litany of reasons that I'm sure you can figure out if you have half a brain. I've also already explained them in this thread.
