May have been posted here but I haven't seen it. Do we know the reason Pitts didn't play? Was Mullen really just resting him? I haven't seen any actual info on why...

At first I thought it was Rona, but supposedly Merlin sat him out to preserve him.

I wasn’t watching but was he dressed out? I can see even if it’s kinda dumb sitting him at first but once the game showed to be close not putting him in then was super dumb- maybe even more dumb than the shoe toss.

There's been some whispers that the training staff yanked him before the game, not Mullen.
But I think Mullen has avoided the question so we don't really know.
Considering Pitts played vs Tenner and warmed up pregame we're all just assuming it was Mullen's arrogance thinking we didn't need him and to save him for Bama. Definitely seems the most likely, and a Mullen thing to do.

Why would he transfer to a team that is worse than the one he is on? Pitts has NFL talent that would be wasted at UG like the other NFL talent that is wasted at UG. 1980 sheeze.

Mullen made the call after warmups to rest him for next week. Not my take... That was in the pregame commentary

I put it right there where Kirby left his best player on the bench in his most important games.
Kirby and Mullens should get together this offseason and see who's best at "What If."
