Excluding your team, what’s one of the best SEC games you’ve watched?

I just watched LSU vs Arkansas 2006. That was one hell of a football game.

McFadden breaks off a 80 yard TD. Arky kicks off and Trindon Holliday lightning bolts for 92 yards. Watching McFadden, Jones and Hillis play was awesome.

Man there was a Tennessee A&M game a few years ago that was incredible

Alvin Kamara just couldn’t be stopped but A&M finally pulled it out

The Bama UGA title was a great game topped off by a walk off national championship winning TD

Kick 6 takes the cake though

Gotta be an Iron Bowl. Been some good games in that series, and by the nature of Bama’s usual elite status a lot of Auburn upsets.

The shoe toss last season was actually a pretty good game… LSU’s players really dug deep and played for each other at the end of last season. I know the odds would have been long for LSU to win that game without the toss, but at least they put themselves in position to win afterwards.

I don't know that this is necessarily true.

The game was tied at the time and I believe the last four drives for Florida had ended in three punts and a field goal so it wasn't as if LSU couldn't stop them.

Everyone also forgets Florida got the ball with a chance to tie or win at the end and couldn't pull it out.

That was easily the best game of the NCAAT

Went to the 2007 LSU-Auburn game in Baton Rouge with my gf who graduated from LSU. That place went crazy when Byrd (I think that’s who it was) caught the td pass as time was going out

Kentucky vs Arkansas in 2003.

Like 6 or 7 overtime periods.

Matt Jones and Jared Lorenzen just kept scoring.

Unreal.

I hear ya and agree… but to me the toss changed everything… LSU’s kicker has just displayed balls o steel and made the long fg with fog… all momentum is in LSU’s favor… maybe calling it long odds is a bad representation, though.

What I really took from that game was that LSU’s kids had really dug in and played for each other. At 3-5, it woulda been very easy for them to tank.

I personally really enjoyed that 3-2 Auburn v State affair several years back. I'm not saying its one of the best SEC games ever, but I sure as hell enjoyed watching it

I also got extreme satisfaction out of the Alabama v Tennessee game w/the field goal block. Is that the "Mount Cody" game? Whatever the hell y'all call. Watching Tennessee's heart get ripped out like that at the end was fricking glorious.

Edit: Also Johnny Football and the Aggies v Bama. That game was just phenomenal as a neutral observer. That game had everything.

The A&M/LSU 7 (or was it 8) OT game was a lot of fun.

One of the best is the 1969 Alabama vs. Ole Miss game, won by Bama, 33-32.

It was nationally televised...Archie Manning and Ole Miss punched out over 600 yards of offense. The game kept going back and forth with Bama coming from behind to win it.

Great game.
