UTSA is making some noise. They’ve put guys in the league and coming in at 23 here.

I think Arkansas can make waves this year, but it definitely feels like the West is going to be settled in the Alabama/LSU game.

I’m not sold on Tennessee being that big of a threat to UGA yet, but who knows.

Bama is solely due to ? at qb. USC should never grace the top 10 until Lincoln Riley demonstrates a capacity to field a defense.

Seems like there's always a surprise team that becomes a player at the end of the year.

Yeah. And that’s fair. But I’d suspect Alabama opens top three in the AP or coaches. Especially if things are clearer after fall camp.

Little shocked cocks didn’t make it and will UF grace anyone’s preseason top 25. That’s a bit of a shocker to think they have fallen that far.

Putting USC at number 4 is a direct insult to Alabama, Ohio State and LSU.

And in my book Michigan still has to prove that they are a playoff worthy program.

As Rick Eisen asked with a sense of confusion on his face, "How did we lose to TCU?"

Yeah... Ole Miss will always be a wild card with Kiffin there and Arkansas has a veteran QB.

State, Auburn, and A&M aren't giving me that vibe this year, but that's usually when Auburn shines, so...

I suspect Ole Miss will look similar to last year. Able to move the ball well on offense but suspect on defense. The difference between 7-5 and 10-2 will be finishing drives in the redzone, which they struggled with last year. That said, this is probably the most wide open the West has been since Saban's first natty. I think the team with the most lucky bounces will win it.

So congrats Auburn.

this year will tell a lot about huepel(sp?). We will find out if last year was lightning in a bottle or if Tennessee got a good one and is truly back

The obsession with UM is a complete mystery. But, when @PSU and vs tOSU are you only games with a pulse, I guess they have a shot at the CFPs again.

Not sure I see the FSU at #3 rationale either. They will likely be 2-2 going into Oct.

While it's fun to root for a team like this, it's worth pointing out that last season they lost to Troy, won by single digits against Army (6–6), Western Kentucky (9–5), UAB (7–6), and UTEP (5–7), and had a SOS somewhere in the neighborhood of 80th.

This has disaster written all over it. Won’t even finish in top 25.
