I have treasured formative memories of watching Chris Berman, Stuart Scott, SVP, etc. roll off highlight after highlight with their own unique flair with actual informative sports discussion in between. Hell, their commercials alone were plenty of entertainment. When SportCenter wasn't on, there was always some interesting smaller sport getting to shine in the middle of the day like a random Johns Hopkins lacrosse game. It was perfect for the actual fan of sport in its entirety.
Haven't watched ESPN for years. They can pound sand.
I can't bring myself to watch any of their programming now. It's just depressing.

I hear ya... I used to enjoy sportscenter, and college gameday but now the only time my tv hits the channel is for the games themselves, and that is only because they’re espn broadcasts.

Same here, and the sound off. I listen to the radio broadcast.

That really sucks. He's one they should have kept.

Well, it could not have happened to a nicer woke organization.

Wouldn’t mind the SEC jumping ship from ESPN in the next round of contracts...Their broadcasts and TV quality has become dogshit.

This is why the SEC needs (or needed) to keep the CBS deal. Never put all your eggs in one basket.
Plus CBS is still a legacy network with a greater reach than ESPN.

This is what happens when non-political entities try to stuff politics down their client’s throats. Play stupid games...win stupid prizes.

Maybe they should focus on sports and not political commentary.

Disney shifts to more direct-to-consumer streaming. The memo follows internal discussions about layoffs related to Covid-19.

All i want to know is are they making sure their employees wear a mask and do that have tons of unnecessary meetings about inclusion and diversity (aka white people bad)

I could care less about ESPN, especially their radio shows. They have become politically correct and in many cases liberal extreme. They should leave politics out of shite and just do sports. They really do suck now in almost everything.

Out of all the tools at ESPN you want McElroy gone. He is one of the only ones with a brain.

Read something on Reuters about them dropping some of their less prominent channels. Streamlining back to just a few channels and focusing on the cord cutters.
