Yes, yes it is. And the 'stolen laptop' was stolen, not 'received stolen merchandise' at Florida.

Thanks, but that was created by Notorious GOP. I got it from the Fark Board.

For all of those claiming Miss St. might be in trouble get your head out of your asses.

It was well documented Alabama was the TOP bidder in the Means case. It was known multiple other schools offered money for him, but Alabama faced the firing squad for outbidding them.

No reason to think Miss St. would fall on a sword for being the whistle blower in this situation.

Damn, I just read the Cam Newton laptop report.

All I've heard about this story is he "didn't know it was stolen"...my arse.

Very revelatory stuff in there...

Agreed. However, we've only seen proof of one wrong (John Bond on the recruiting trail). Everyone is inferring the second wrong (Auburn paid for Cam).

Why is AU not treating this like UNC did with their players that were being investigated? If they sit his at this time of the year, they could possibly get some credibility back from the school's standpoint. The coach is in hot water if he knew about it!!!

Bond was not on the recruiting trail idiot, Kenny Rogers approached him at a game. Also it is about to come out that NCAA suspends Newton, so much for Barners doing nothing wrong.

seriously, that revelation would have been HUGE if Newton wasn't surrounded by all this other controversy.

as is, it's barely a blip on the radar.

really? cause bond stated on a radio show earlier this week that he was contacted by rogers through 2 different middle men and not directly.

It sounds like Bond was recruiting or at least involved in recruiting. Why else would Rogers had approached him? Surly he wasn't just randomly picking a former teammate.....

Bond is still closely related to the school. If someone wanted a talented kid to play for State, they could go to Bond and he could make it happen (get someone to recruit them). This doesn't mean that Bond is directly involved with recruiting.

cam newton is obviously a player that has been in far too many situations that he shouldn't even be close to being in as a very successful student athlete...................

Rogers was shopping Newton around to MSU boosters for money. Bond is an MSU booster with money. Thats why the connection was made.

wouldn't matter at this point. they're already 10 games in. if they forfeit, they go to 0-10. might as well keep playing him and try to go undefeated, then they could say "well, we'd be undefeated champs is this cam newton bs didn't happen..."

This makes sense.

My Ms State neighbor graduated with Bond. He doesn't have many good things to say about him.

That is the exact opposite of everything I have ever heard about John Bond.
