No, that's not what happened. LSU finished #2 in the ones I've seen and Clemson finished #4.
It was Ohio St that finished #1. Alabama was #3.
LSU had the #1 offense by far. Only Alabama's was close. The problem is LSU's defense was #14. Which is why you had wins by only 3, 5 and 7.
There are 2 sides of the ball. Sorry.

I posted that particular one as an example for an aggregate not specifically to show where I would rank every team.

2018 Bama obliterated Joe Burrow & Corndog U 29-0...at Tiger Stadium.
So comparing 2019 Bama to 2020 Bama is kinda stupid.
2020 Bama didn't have huge crowds...it also didn't have the Georgia Southern, Northwestern St and Utah St stat padding gauntlet '19 LSU had. Bama ran a full 10 game SEC only gauntlet and destroyed it...while playing under the SAME conditions as every other team.
I'm sure it will always be debated. ESPN says 2020 Bama is the playoff era GOAT...and I agree. Be proud of your runner up status Corndogs...it's the least you can do for those Baton Rouge children's hospital kids.

Look, what LSU did in 2019 was amazing. Great team, no doubt. But 2020 Alabama beat the 11 best teams in the SEC. That will never be replicated, and it must be acknowledged as giving them the edge in determining this mythical ranking.

I notice you didn’t respond to my other post with the same topic by Legionfield with links showing LSU above Bama. SI and College Football News disagree. One person’s opinion does not a consensus make.
