If Cam would have gone to State, then State would have been gut punched by the NCAA. Cam did not go to State though........so they were in the clear. The two could not be more different situations.

That's right, State offered to pay Cam and his family but he turned it down to go to Auburn for free. My bad.

A former State player, who was a runner for an agent, went to Cecil and told him he could get money from State for Cam's services. State didn't want to pay for them.....but they did have the former State player on audio trying to get a deal from State for Cam.

You must have lived on ATPB. Other than rumor, there was no shred of evidence that Auburn did anything wrong. There was no proof that State did anything wrong. There was proof a former State player did something wrong.
In that case there was a lot of rumor and hearsay. Like I said already...........this LSU thing is the exact opposite.
ETA The FEDS investigated the Cam case. We already know how the Cam thing turned out. Let's wait and see how this one goes.

Most Auburn fans when the Cam news first broke were concerned...cautiously optimistic. IMO it was because our beat writers for me specifically PM kept saying Auburn had already vetted this issue through the SEC office and Auburn would be in the clear.
PM takes a ton of crap, but he has always been conservative in his inside reporting and he was firm over and over about his belief Auburn would be ok specific to the Cam situation. The more he reasserted that opinion the more I realized Auburn wasn't concerned about the allegations being made that were unfounded to Auburn, the coaching staff and anyone associated with Auburn.
Do you have a beat writer you trust? What is that writer saying? Does it sounded hopeful? Is the writer simply reporting facts with no spin? If it's the latter I'd be worried.

The NCAA spent a year investigating Auburn and eventually certified that there was no wrong doing.
I'm sure the NCAA will spend several months to a year investigating LSU Basketball and we will see what they find.
My advice to Wade and LSU is to shut your mouth and go on as no wrong was done.
No need to talk to the NCAA let them find what they will find.
