I’m not sure if we do or don’t, but it’s not like we are going from 5-6 losses a year to 0-1 losses a year in one year. There are no miracle workers out there. From the complete lack of discipline I see on the field, it will be a complete overhaul imo.

Was responding to Josh Norris.

Happened with Herman and Smart. Hope it's not happening here.

Until the inside guys at UF say it's falling through or not happening, I feel pretty good about it. Every insider isn't even debating the conversation, just what point it's at. Same say it's done and waiting till after FSU. TG said it may happen today or tomorrow.

Who knows...seems like the info is basically small, but consistent, and Stricklin is doing very good at keeping it close to his chest. No denial by UF or Chip with rumors getting this hot though, seems like a good thing.

I think Mullen goes to UT before UF.

His wife hates us.

Any man here know what happens if your wife doesn't like something? You don't get it. Happy wife, happy life. Applies to all men ;/

Some of the rumors have said it's taking UF some time to vet assitants Kelly intends to hire.

The UCLA and AZ St jobs may not even open.

There is absolutely no reason to wait until after the FSU game to announce this

I agree but the word is Stricklin doesn't want to distract the team from the FSU game out of respect to Shannon.

Really dumb..but is what it is.

Shannon also thanked Stricklin post game yesterday for "not creating a distraction."

I don't get waiting but we only lost one recruit and Stricklin is handling recruiting himself apparently. So he probably has a good feel that the class will wait till we announce the next coach and waiting won't matter.

What happened to the big announcement to avoid questions??

Is fsu game at home? Cause halftime would be ideal to meet what you said here.

Side note: anyone able to point me to any good threads discussing the new recruiting rules, and possible affect on coaching searches?

Yes stories have changed. I was wrong about Friday. As were Goldkamp, Tilly, and other Gator "insiders". The thought was because contract talks started, that it wouldn't take long.

I don't think anyone expected the reports of a 300 page contract defining exact measures the University will take, liability protection for the University if Kelly gets in trouble with the NCAA, guaranteed upgrades, etc. Now rumors NFL buyouts are in play, but I think that is false I think he keeps that money as long as he doesn't take a gig in the NFL, college having no bearing.

It could all be a smoke screen of course. But every person close to UF seems to think the deal is either done, or almost done. So is what it is. The guy who told me Friday said he has conflicting reports as well. So he didn't help clear anything up at all

LSU has owned that conference in the past. Other SEC teams. not so much.

What is it, like 16 in a row for LSU over Pac teams?
