Wisconsin always does well in the tourny because of their annoying style of possession basketball and white guy fundamentals and hustling.
If LSU were in the tournament, I would choose most teams over Wisconsin for a matchup because its not glamorous or eye-catching to media, boring to watch, and we'd no doubt probably lose.
Remember how badly our 2000 SEC Champion team was beaten by a group of 4 white starters in the Sweet Sixteen? That was a PAINFUL game to watch

What does Maineri have maybe 1 or 2 series wins tops August Auburn?
This Florida team WILL make a serious dent in the tourney.
After all, he was severely pissed at Labrandon Toefield when he declared early for the NFL?

Time to enact a little revenge for that butt-whoopin' UF gave us earlier this year.
What is the status of Yeguete and Murphy for UF?
Do we have a chance in tomorrow's contest?
I only see LSU winning if Donovan sits some players?

Since they joined the league in the early 1990s, they have never exactly lit the world on fire in the recruiting realm
I actually think they perform pretty damn good considering what they have to work with. More years than not Arkansas is never an easy game for LSU.
Tom Rathmann and Todd McLure both sat behind me in Freshman Chemistry in 1996.
They were looking to do anything to cheat/get ahead. It was comical.
Herb Tyler once read the Advocate for the full duration of one of Harry Mokeba's final exams.

Donovan is lifetime 11-7 versus LSU.

Still only 47 as well.
Stansbury called the ball at 52.
Then a retirement scheme will be launched
Similar to the way State forced Stansbury out? He lasted 14 years there.

He is in his 17th season and has had a remarkable career.
Similarly, Vandy's Kevin Stallings is in his 14th season, but has come nowhere close to Donovan's success?

Arkansas has never exactly set the world on fire in Tiger Stadium played games.

Truly sad how his career as a Tiger turned out. I wish he would have come straight out of high school instead of opting for minor league baseball instead.
His first 2 years at LSU would have been under Curley Hallman's watch?
He may have been so disenfranchised with the crummy state of that program and transferred year 2 like many of the other players at the time were (Robert Davis..)

Where is he living now?
I have heard both Shreveport and McKinney, TX mentioned as his homes post-NFL??
I saw him at the Chimes by campus on a weeknight trivia night about 2 years ago.

It is pretty astonishing and even a statistical anomaly for this basketball program to not have won an SEC Tournament in 32 seasons. Even worse, is the SEC top to bottom has not been one of the more prestigious basketball conferences during the duration of that span.
We actually get around to putting up a conference contender 2-3 times a decade, which is a lot more than some of the other in-conference schools.

Auburn's road back

How does anyone see their recovery taking shape?
History shows Auburn generally does not stay down for long.
LSU went from a 1 conference win team in 99 to Conference Champion 2 years later in 2001, so quick turnarounds in this league are not unheard of.

Auburn 2005. One of the quirkier games of modern history.
Auburn outgains us by over 100 yards of offense and misses 5 field goals
