He’s got to be the most annoying college baseball announcer. The announcing version of “do you know who my dad does” and incessant name dropping. Would much rather McDonald, etc.

He's probably pulled the short straw to have to do the CWS...in the grand scheme of things, it's a niche sport.

Last year he talked an entire game about a belt and packing to go back to L.A. to do a Dodgers game.

This is why it should be Peterson and McDonald in the booth for every game. They’re the only two frickers at ESPN that live for college baseball.
Perez fricking sucks at everything but being bilingual. He sucked at baseball and he sucks at being an analyst. The worst is when he’s doing MLB games and breaks into fluent Spanish. If I wanted to watch that, I’d pay for ESPNdeportes.
They need to evaluate who actually makes it to Omaha and who watches the games. Just a bunch of baseball loving white folks for the most part, I would assume. frick growing the game. It’s a niche market and it’s fun the way it is.

Peterson is the best college baseball guy out there. Knowledgeable, fair, but direct. ESPN is muddying their broadcasts by having Perez a part of that crew. Two people in the booth is enough. I'd be fine with either McDonald or Burke in place of Perez, though.
The crew of Tom Hart, McDonald, and Burke is a lot more enjoyable simply because of Perez (although I like Hart more than Ravech for college sports).

He really didn’t want to let go of the rope for Tech yesterday. I know this is my inner insecure fan coming out but I’ve heard this guy rant and rave about lots of teams and Arkansas just doesn’t seem to do it for him. When Oregon State and Florida go on a roll it’s a total jizzfest in the booth. The one exception being Heimlich who the announcers awkwardly rarely mention even when he’s putting on a clinic. I guess winning a title or two willl earn you some respect which is fair enough.
