This is a good thing.

I am tired of this being a bigger deal than other games.

Could actually help LSU out a little.

Not really to most Bama fans and players - with AU and Tennessee (hence they still do the cigars afterwards) being larger. But it's been #3 though.

Considering the fact that we aren't exactly an emotional roller coaster team, I don't think really think this will have much of any effect.

Our guys will still be zeroed in on the fact that LSU has been and generally will be their biggest "are you man enough" challenge game in the regular season. Doesn't matter if it's at 2:30 PM or 7:45 PM.

So we get stuck with Notre Dame primetime on an SEC network? LSU needed to be bounced, but not for that game.

HOPEFULLY....they are propping up ND for people to watch them get smacked around on National TV so when it comes to playoff talk everyone well say "ehhh lets not put ND in just to watch them get destroyed again"

but we all know dawgs could beat them by 40 and at the end of the year if thats their only loss....they will still be there. AND get killed again

It appears that LSU will be going head to head against the BDF conference for command of the 11 am time slot.

Eggs and shrimp will be in great demand.

LSU is as far away from beating Bama than ever. 29-0 was no joke. Orgeron will never beat Coach Saban.

While true that would essentially mean Alabama would never play in primetime

Yeah, that's not true at all.

Ever hear of ESPN? They do primetime games every Saturday during football season.

Hey....surprise/surprise/surprise...it's the LSU butt-sniffer extraordinaire...LOL
Just like one of Pavlovs' dogs, he comes running whenever LSU is mentioned, in the slightest....about as dumb as a box of rocks !

Yes and no. He's right about the game. Wrong in thinking LSU fans listen to him which would require us to turn down the radio.

an average of 22-8.

Considering how great Bama has been and how bad LSU's offenses have been, it's surprising that that the 5-year average margin of victory isn't way worse.

With LSU laying an egg last year, Finebaum is right. LSU hasn't made it very exciting lately. 2012, 2014 and 2016 were all great games that were decided in the 4th quarter (even though 2016 was 0-0 in the 4th). The recent games at Bryant-Denny have been pretty lackluster though once they got well into the 3rd quarter. The ratings for CBS have been awesome though. It has been the #1, #2 and #3 best rated game of the regular season in 3 of the last 4 years. 2017 was the only year that it wasn't one of the most watched games of the year. Last year it had fantastic ratings and only Michigan vs. Ohio State had more viewers for a regular season game.

Potential to be great with slightly above average results.
