Go back to making them sit out a year if they choose to transfer. It would cut down on this “unrestricted free agency” that is happening. This is not sustainable. At least in the NFL they have multi year contracts…

That is never going to happen.

I think everyone knows that eventually players will be employees of the school and collective bargaining will be here eventually.

Courts already ruled this is not allowed.

This is a shitshow. As we are seeing with Alabama a single off season can potentially decimate a team. If you don’t have a good NIL program you may never recover.

You can keep paying them but it would stop them from jumping ship if they get their feelings hurt or get offered more money elsewhere…

Only after Bama’s roster is gutted and they’ve suffered a few seasons of normalcy that the rest of the teams in CFB have been experiencing for years.

That’s fine. I’m sure Alabama will go after Michigan, Arizona and Washington players…. My point is that it is destroying college football.

It was fine with Jahmyrr Gibbs and Jermaine Burton though.

Why is this just becoming a problem now that players are leaving Alabama rather than coming in? I do however appreciate you guys paying Eli Ricks to leave our roster.

Impose a 75% transfer tax on transfers not related to coaching changes.

Yeah, I agree that all the transfers suck for fans, but this comes off as very whiny for Alabama fans to just come to this realization now.

I love how Bama didn't want this rule when they recruited Eli Ricks and Jermaine Burton. Eat it, Tide.

Here come the false claims that they’ve hated the portal because it’s been so bad for Bama.

Any fan that just now decided to fix the portal because it is hurting our team is being pretty hypocritical.

Better idea:
Don’t recruit players under the guise of playing for one coach and then pull a bait-n-switch.

Brian Kelly had to navigate this with 38 players on the roster. Lets see what their guy does in similar circumstances.

I do know one thing. No one feels sorry for fricking Alabama.

This is curious coming from you BAMA people.

You had no problems with the transfer portal when it was you all cherry picking guys from other teams.

Now you are seeing a mass exodus of players due to the coaching change and you don’t like it.

My question to you all is, “ why all of a sudden do you want to restrict these young men from making a decisions that can better their personal situation”?

Seems like your change in heart in this subject is a little disingenuous.

Id rather see Bama lose every game before I contributed to a player buying program. If this is what CFB has become, people are gonna start losing interest

There’s a difference between cherry picking guys that won’t play where they are and raiding a roster…haha
