Saban once advised Kirby to not take a DC job at UGA. Told him not to go save Richt's job. Be the guy that replaced Richt.
Kirby has now advised Schumann to do the same thing.
Sorry, Bama. Schumann ain't gonna save Nick's job.
Grantham is now rumored to be the top candidate for Alabama DC.

It reminds me of when, Richt tried to get Kirby to come home to be DC. UGA fans were pissed. Kirby waited. Now everyone is happy and all was forgiven.
I’ve been saying for the last year, I thing Schu and Kirby situation with Bama-UGA are just so similar. Obviously Schu didn’t play and Kirby did.. but still both are Alumns.
I think Schu stays and replaces Nick when he retires.

Right now you’re 2015-19 Clemson. Not Bama. You May eventually be Bama, and you’re on the right tract, but as of right now you’re nothing more than Clemson.

you think Glenn Schumann is the next head coach at Alabama?

I can tell you for a fact that Will is not leaving UGA anytime soon. He has a one son on the team and another son that will join soon and his wife (childhood friend) is happy being back in Athens with her friends. This comes straight from Carol's (his wife) brother John Davis in Thomaston.

Which one will better help him reach his ceiling....
If he goes there and kills it he would be in a position to take the head job soon at Alabama.

You have about 4 more to go, Holmes and 15 straight years of dominance.

You schleps from UGA get your great coaches from Bama. Kirby’s dad was from Bama and went to Howard College, Bobby Bowden’s alma mater. Kirby was born in Montgomery, wound up in Bainbridge due to Dad’s coaching career. Kirby was a GA at FSU for Bobby and Mickey. Vince was an Auburn man.

No way he leaves GA. He can go for a 3peat. He should only go for Bama for the HC position and nothing less. Bama can try to find a DC from another school, but not Georgia. This is ridiculous.

Why is Georgia off-limits?
