Below is a composite ranking of 11 Post-Spring 2020 Preseason Recruiting Rankings that have been released so far.... still waiting on some big ones like Lindy's, Street & Smith, Phil Steele, etc..... but there's been enough released that we'll have a pretty good idea as to how the first AP rankings might look in August:

*Change in ranking compared to the composite of 20 "Way-Too-Early Preseason Rankings" that were released back in January after the end of the season:

1. Clemson -
2. Ohio St. -
3. Alabama -
4. Georgia (+3)
5. LSU (-1)
6. Oregon (+3)
7. Penn St. (+1)
8. Oklahoma (-2)
9. Florida (-4)
10. Notre Dame -
11. Auburn -
12. Wisconsin -
13. Texas A&M -
14. Texas (+2)
15. Oklahoma St. (+2)
16. Michigan (-2)
17. USC (+2)
18. Minnesota (-3)
19. N. Carolina (+6)
20. Iowa (+2)
21. Cincinnati (-3)
22. UCF (+6)
23. Utah -
24. Iowa St. (-2)
25. Arizona St. (+4)
26. Louisville -
27. Boise St. (-7)
28. Virginia Tech (+3)
29. Tennessee (+1)
30. Memphis (-3)
31. Washington (+1)
32. Kentucky (+4)
33. Indiana (NR)
34. Baylor (-10)
35. TCU (-1)
36. Cal (-1)
37. Northwestern (NR)
38. Miss St. (NR)

Once again, the SEC looks pretty top-heavy.... six schools ranked in the Preseason Top 13 yet zero ranked between #14 and #28.

After what we saw in Spring ball, I’m surprised they didn’t drop LSU more.

Sure you did... if you are going to just make shite up, why would you not put your team #1?

LSU ranges from #2 down to as low as #8 in all the rankings I've seen.... LSU's average rank in the eleven services is 6.36. Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just posting what these services are projecting.

North Carolina saw the biggest rise of any team.... probably because folks realized how easy their schedule is from Week 3 on.

UNC starts out at #22 UCF.... then they face #11 Auburn in Atlanta. But their final ten games consist of absolute cake with #28 Virginia Tech at home being the toughest opponent.

Baylor had the biggest drop of any school... likely because those January rankings were conducted before they lost their head coach. Boise State (-7) and Florida (-4) had the next steepest drops.

In what way? I for one would rather have had a full Spring for our offense.

Kentucky should be higher given what returns but I'm guessing their logic on ranking teams like UofL or Virginia Tech over them in the pre-season is their shitty ACC schedules. It certainly isn't coaching or performance of guys returning from last season.

Not recruiting rankings. Ohio State is currently lapping the field in recruiting.

Because my rankings dont place LSU at 1. That spot goes to Clemson.

Get ready for A&M to ranked in the Top 10 most all season long.

Between the start of the season and November 20th, A&M plays just one team included in the Preseason Top 35.... that's their trip to Auburn on October 17th.

At worst the Aggies are looking to be 9-1 going into Tuscaloosa on November 21st. If A&M somehow escapes Jordan-Hare with a win, don't be surprised to see the Aggies ranked as high as #1 or #2. The media would salivate for a #1 ranked team out of the state of Texas going into Tuscaloosa in late November to play in a potential Top 5 match-up. It would be ratings gold.

Yet we all know A&M loses that game, as they will also lose to LSU the next week.

If Louisville is 26 then both UK and Tennessee are top 25.

The way the schedule sets up, if Georgia can somehow get past Alabama in Week 3, then October 10th could be an absolutely epic Saturday for SEC football. Based on current Preseason Rankings, here are those matchups:

#11 Auburn at #4 Georgia
#5 LSU at #9 Florida

Auburn starts out with Alcorn State, #19 North Carolina, at Ole Miss, Southern Miss, and Kentucky. They should be 5-0 going into Athens. If so, and if Georgia could get past Alabama, you're looking at a huge match up of unbeatens.

Meanwhile, Florida's early season schedule is a cakewalk... Eastern Washington, Kentucky, South Alabama, at Tennessee, and South Carolina. They should be 5-0 when LSU comes to town.

LSU starts out with UTSA, #14 Texas, Rice, Ole Miss, and Nicholls.... again, if they get past the Longhorns, they should be undefeated.

If somehow all four teams are unbeaten going into October 10th, you're likely looking at two SEC vs. SEC matchups on the same day, featuring Top 8 teams.

wouldnt doubt A&M gets the 11 am trap game slot at Miss St (week 5). The auburn road game should be a good one. Weirdly the road team does a pretty good job in this match-up since SEC expansion.

Still think A&M ends up 9-3.
