No I remember the mid to late 90s of not being able to watch Bama but a few games a yr. watching the ticker at the bottom of the screen seeing them beat LaTech 13-0. Every game was always in contention. That sucked this is much better besides we still sweat LSU, Auburn and aTm nearly every year. The LSU game will be close. Our offense starts slow again after getting through the terrible defenses on the schedule. The LSU game MSU game and Auburn game will be within 10 points more than likely.

Can be difficult to resell tickets when everyone knows it's going to be a bloodbath. Otherwise, we're good.

Huh?

I just checked my post history and my last comment about Alabama was on October 8. And before that it was September 28.

What a thin-skinned pussy.

I have seen Bama be great, then average, then great, then terrible, and great again.

I can put it in perspective so it doesn't get old

LSU Baseball is the same.

USCe back-to back CWS crowns, Vandy with a split vs UVa, and Fla 2-0 sweep of LSU in Finals since LSU's last title in 2009 says hello.

Aka LSU Baseball sans 1990-2000 does not equal Bama Football, not in terms of all time nor current dynasty run if factoring the competive nature of big time college football by more ADs than so NCAA Baseball. Now, if you intend being the chalk in most any series home or away, I understand your sentiments.

LSU Baseball needs another CWS crown in the next three to four years. And ideally like two in the next ten years to get that dominance mojo rolling again.

It's kind of a no sweat deal. If they lose they lose. Sabans last down year was 10-3. Imagine that. Most people would give anything to go 10-3.

If so, it will be the first time it has happened in the history of Bama football.

I agree, it won't last forever which is why I'm stressed because I'm trying my best to enjoy it while it does last. I just don't know what ill do when we do start losing as I'm not use to it. I'm a spoiled fan and it's all I know.

After Bear, From 1983-2007 Bama football was, with the exception of a single year, a very average program.

College football warehouse has Alabama as the 16th best program of the 80s, the twelfth best of the 90's and the eleventh best of the 00's.

16, 12 and eleven. That's a composite of 13. So yeah.

Bama fans never rush the field. They expect to win even when the program is down.

Yep, terrible 30 years.

- 13th best overall program
- 4 SEC Titles
- 2 National Titles

Not sure how we survived such mediocrity

Really?

Might want to look up a few records. In a time where regular seasons were 11 games long, Gene Stallings won 70 games in 7 seasons. That is a tad more than average. Fran had the best record in the west his second season.

The only bad stretches were DuBose and Shula.

Even during DuBose Shula I expected to win each game.

You’re absolutely right. It does suck being an Alabama fan.

You wouldn’t believe how expensive it gets to buy conference
Championship tickets, playoff tickets, and national championship tickets all within a couple months.

I’ve had to get a second mortgage on my trailer to afford it all.

Great. We agree then. For a 25 year stretch (with the exception of 92) you guys were a composite 10-15 ranked program and you acknowledge that. Perkins (32-15), Curry (26-10), Stallings (70-16), Dubose (24-23), Franchione (17-8), Price (strip cub 1 Bama 0), Shula (20-15) et al.

It looks like Bama is subject to the same forces of nature as everybody else. You get a good coach (Stallings) and you win. You don't and you lose. We can revisit this again in five years and then again five years after that. Enjoy now. Because there are more Shulas and Duboses in your future. Just like everybody else.

No, we don't. Bama has far more Stallings in their history than they do DuBoses.

Sure, but we also get more Wades, Thomases, Bryants, Stallings and Sabans than anybody else.
