What's his buyout? How long before the CAW is calling for his arse to be fired

Year 1. The first loss caw will be calling for him to be fired. Or win if not by enough.

Not at all, and this is a pretty stupid thread. But it is hilarious seeing Auburn fans absolutely redassed and bothered that Sumrall turned them down for one of the actual "big boy" jobs in the SEC . I like Golesh, but you would not have taken him over Sumrall, and you know that is true.

If you know Auburn at all, you know that we are pretty shitty at picking head coaches. Florida saved us from a dumb choice and we fell arse backwards into Coach Golesh.

Doesn’t that mean Golesh will be a shitty pick because you hired him?

He has the most compelling and recent success record you could just about find.

I will be pulling for him because he brought over his strength coach from Tulane, a guy that I used to know during the Iraq war. He was a green beret.

He doesn't look real bright. This league has some super high level coaches. Kirby, Venables, Kiffin, Sark. He's not in that league or even close.

Florida needed an adult in the room who was capable of hiring qualified coaches & more importantly trusting them. They needed someone who would bring an energy to the program.

Idk what Sumrall’s ceiling will be, but I do feel pretty confident Florida will be a tough team to play against that won’t ever embarrass itself under him.

until we see his team on the field I can’t fully rule out the possibility that he is another retard.

However, based on the moves he has made, as you mentioned his staff hires, and the messaging he’s been giving to the press, it seems like he’ll likely be competent at worst.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Kiffin get fired or leave LSU before Sumrall gets fired or leaves Florida.

This is exactly what I thought when they hired a successful, no nonsense Billy Napier.

That facade was burst pretty quickly when he hired Patrick Toney as his DC as well as a bunch of low level G5 nobodies for his staff.

Sumrall has at least hired some pretty well known, experienced commodities for his coordinators and position coaches.

That doesn't guarantee that he won't be Billy 2.0, but he has at least maintained the facade of not being incompetent heading into the season, whereas with Billy it was clear really fast that he was out of his depth even before the start of his first season..

Hiring competent coordinators worked for LSU under Orgeron

Personally I prefer the coaches little more brainy than braun. Sumrall is a meathead.

Sumrall presents as a meathead outwardly, however, his interviews often delve into technical topics that he seems to really excel in.
